Marvel vs. Star Wars (world and characters)

I was just thinking of something dumb like throwing Spider-man into a clone battle, or Mace Windu vs. Captain America. Are there any interesting matchups that are fun to think about? I read somewhere that the Force doesn't affect anyone born outside ofit, such as those pain dudes (?) that are completely immune to it, so by default wouldn't Marvel characters be unaffected by Force powers? On the flipside, I don't think there's any such restriction on the powers of Marvel superheroes, so Professor X would definitely beat Qui-Gon-Jin in a contest of persuasion.

Could Galactus sustain himself on blasts from the Death Star? Could R2-D2 and C3PO star in a buddy-cop film opposite Ultron? Are vibranium and vibrometal functionally the same thing? What iterations of Star Wars characters/creatures could actually hold their own against many superheores or vilains from the Marvel universe? Any good scaling in Star Wars, or should any hypothetical scenarios be limited to Earth for Marvel (possibly even just New York)? Would Doctor Doom choose the Light or the Dark Side? Would he be Light side but uses Dark sde powers and doesn't even care? I demand answers, and also questions!
 
NJO Luke could likely wreck Goku. He moved black holes and developed countless new force techniques like this green version of force lightning that killed people instantly.
 
The chick from Frozen would choke out the Hulk while the others watched, quietly weeping knowing that it is only a matter of time before they are next.
 
The Shi'ar imperial guard, the Ronan's Accusers, the Spartax , or Eternals alone would wreck Star Wars. There are too many civs in the Marvel cosmic U that are on the same level or higher than Star Wars empire.

The warhammer 40k universie is so stupidledy overpowerd, that they would curbstomb the fuck out of the marvel heroes. And we are not only talking about the imperium of man here. Let's not forget the Orks, Eldars, Dark Eldars, Chaos Daemon Gods Space Marines, Tau and the tyranids.

Thanos could kill them all ...every single one of them, and i love me some WH40k , i think the IG alone could beat Star Wars
 
I assume by "pain dudes" you're referring to the Yuuzhan Vong, and I don't think they were basically immune to the force because of where they were born, but rather thier own biology/technology.
 
Well this is a tough one because the force has the full power of plot behind it. It's as strong as it needs to be.

Also Star Wars EU (lol non canon now) has some incredibly bad ass moments that give marvel a run for its money.

This mother fucker, goes full Gandalf by actually saying something to the effect of "you shall not pass" when facing the invading forces. He then by himself slaughters thousands of enemy warriors, he enters such a strong battle trance that he eventually becomes one with the force and collapses half a city on top of the remaining enemy forces sacrificing himself so that his friends may live.

Rhysode strode to the entrance, where he challenged the Yuuzhan Vong dramatically, one man against thousands of warriors. They began by taking him on in single combat, honorable challenges. When Rhysode defeated all comers, the Yuuzhan Vong began to move against him in larger and larger groups, but Rhysode immersed himself completely in the Force, defeating all those who came against him and building a heap of dead. He took numerous minor wounds in the process, receiving venomous amphistaff bites, but his state of complete oneness with the Force allowed him to continue fighting. Barely conscious of what he was doing, but finally reconciled to his desire to act the hero, he tore the doors off the building and ripped the statues of the Core Founders from their pedestals, employing them in a massive telekinetic storm around him. Finally, when all his opponents were killed, a tank beast was brought against him with infantry support. In response, he brought down much of the senate dome on himself and the tank beast, killing it and himself.

Dude causes some property damage to a city and you compare that to Marvel where beings destroy entire galaxies with a snap of their fingers.
 
We've seen plenty of cross brand video games. It's not impossible that we could see a fighting game with these two franchises. Star Wars would be a little lacking with character variety, but I suppose they could include monsters.

Based on skill set Marvel should kick ass, but of course they would balance it out.
 
I think in terms of raw power at the maximum end of the spectrum Marvel just outright wins because of shit like reality warping, and the fucking richards boy. But for your average stuff, I think that Star Wars would generally win since your average jedi would have no problem facing off against dudes like Iron man, who are basically on par with Shadowtroopers.

Depends if you use the EU or not. The EU explains a lot while movies didn't if I remember correctly and I don't know about the TV show. Also about the whole 40k vs star wars thing I remember a lot of people on a website that does a lot of these types of debates did a Imperium vs Empire and the Imperium lost
 
Yeah, EU empire has an INSANE number of super weapons. Galaxy Gun, Eye of Palpatine, Sun Crusher, World Devestators, Eclipse class Star Destroyers, etc.

But it's nothing to a Marvel reality warper, of which there are a fair few, or sorceror supremes, or hyper geniuses.

You have to go fairly far down the marvel totem pole for a fair match.

That's the Marvel advantage. Even though it's technically one universe, comic titles vary significantly when it comes to power sets and environments. It's not an equal plane between cosmic and ground based and stories are completely different and separate. It's not one big level of fiction.

Star Wars is one level, Marvel really isn't.

LOL!

Iron Man would solo all of the Jedi. Stark has armor that's built for cosmic level entities. Jedi Order would be a Sunday stroll for him.
