Me too and with Tim Roth a coulple of weeks ago saying that there were plans to include him in AoU I would not be surprised to see him pop-up in Civil War.

Spoilers regarding an Ant-Man rumor involving the return of a character:
Especially with the rumors of Ross appearing in Ant-Man.

With Hulk going bonkers, that's not even such a far fetched idea. IIRC the council has Abomination in cryo-sleep as a viable alternative to Banner.

Yeh I read somewhere that in the comics Thanos destroyed half the universe just to please death? It's going to be interesting to see him in the third avengers movie, especially if he plays the main villain , who the fuck on earth is going to stop him ? lol

Canonically?
himself

For some reason I just wondered... is Red Skull ever likely to show up again in any of these movies? I remember in the run up to Winter Soldier I was convinced either Pierce was going to turn out to be Red Skull, or there'd be a post credit teaser relating to him at least.

Both were obviously very wrong guesses.

I think it is possible he is in Civil War. That's about it though, just a possibility.

So... I have a super weird idea about this... When Red Skull poofed out of existence, it looked more like the Tesseract teleported him than anything... and the Tesseract seems to teleport people to deep space Chitauri/Thanos territory. Not to mention, there seemed to be a shot of space when he was sucked away. So, I kinda get the feeling that Red Skull might have ended up with Thanos and will show up in Avengers 3.

For some reason, this gave me Iron Sky vibes...

And this is why its likely that Thor and Hulk will be taken out of the game.

Agreed, from what I understand from the comics is that Thor wasn't involved in Civil War mainly because he would wipe the floor with any other heroes on earth.

In fact, in the J Michael Straczynski comics, he comes to earth to rebuild Asgard after Ragnarok and Tony Stark tries to get him to his side/register and Thor just wipes the floor with him.

So yeah, I have a feeling like the comics Thor won't be involved with Civil War due to Ragnarok.

Oh for God's sake I would love to have Anomination back, let's hope he's in Civil War.

During Ant-Man's filming didn't we see a poster advertising the soft drink from TIH? Alongside your spoiler and the article it seems as if they really want to tie it in more but why?

Could be part of the universe building; have certain brands and logos recur over the films.

I'd think that's just more of an easter egg than a sign of Incredible Hulk 2.

I guess so but the film seems to have been largely absent until now. Though I'm probably about to be proved wrong on that.

Oh I don't see a sequel, if ever I could see characters like Red Hulk being introduced in other films or team-ups.

Would it be too much for me to want the AoS team to capture a Ultron drone and reprogram it?

Probably. I do wonder what kind of a connection there will be between AoS and AoU since the showrunners said there will be something. I don't expect much but I'm looking forward to seeing whatever it is.

I'm going to go ahead and say eventually. At least with the Red Skull, you can have him be anyone as he can just disguise himself as anyone in the present and then slap the mask on them. Would have totally accepted Robert Redford as the Skull if they had revealed that at the end of Winter Soldier.

I totally expecting that to happen, honestly. Was all smug thinking that was going to be the twist and how I had figured it out. I liked what ended up happening in the end better.

Do you guys think that (spoilers re: character's hypothetical death)
Jane Foster will be killed by Ultron and that's why Thor is on not-so-friendly terms with Tony?
. I don't even know
if she's
supposed to be in the film.

daredevil though. It comes out in April I wanna see my blind superhero get his ass kicked by a robot

I'm sure it'll have as much in common with the book as Age of Ultron does with the Bendis story of the same name.

Civil War will have more similarities. It'll not be the same story by any means, but it'll still be a storyline about a deep divide between the characters in the universe that continues after the film. It's not like they just decided "Civil War" was a cool title.

Age of Ultron on the other hand, they literally said that they picked it because it sounded the best. It has zero inspiration from the Age of Ultron event.

I'll say that Civil War is probably similar in approach to Winter Soldier, where the film really doesn't use the actual Winter Soldier storyline from the comics, but it is clearly inspired by it and features Bucky returning as the Winter Soldier. In the same way, Civil War will clearly be inspired by the comic story, and will feature Captain America and Tony Stark in direct opposition over legislation which puts everyone else on either side.

Does this count as directly?

I invented the piano key neck tie!

What have you done Derek?

NOTHING

YOU'VE DONE NOTHIIIIING

How would Red Skull not be in the Infinity Wars? I always figured him as a Tier 2 baddie that would do Thanos' bidding for some technology weapon or something.

He'd be an excellent foil in Part 1 actually. We've seen that Thanos much prefers to let others do his bidding for him. Maybe his first act with the full Infinity Glove (Reality gem I guess? Time?) is to resurrect Red Skull. Then they beat him at the end of Pt. 1, start to celebrate, then Thanos comes down and rips Iron Man's head off or something.

I'm pretty sure that was an inferior Ultron. If I recall correctly that was where The Thing disposed of Ultrons head in a pile of trash after he got back from Battleworld in Secret Wars. Ultron just used his surroundings to build a body. Probably a Maytag Washer, maybe some discarded Radio Shack Electronics.

AKA This:

Meh. That whole fight was plot induced stupidity. JMS wrote Stark so out of character for that.

He was probably taken out so that they could do the Clor subplot, which was fucking awesome.

I'm really not looking forward to Civil War.

The book was just so terrible.

Wat.

I think the general consensus here on GAF is that the Civil War comicbook sucked.

I haven't read it myself, though I do own 4 of the issues.

If they really do
kill off steve rogers
, then im pretty hype for
winter soldier taking the role of captain america
.

Should still be awesome

Ok, so Civil War is after Ant-Man, correct? And there are rumors of
Ross appearing in Ant-Man
.Maybe we'll get a reference to (speculation):
Abomination being reactivated during Ross' cameo. It would actually be really incredible if that led to Marvel writing Hulk into Civil War. People want more Hulk but the studio remains squeamish about another one. Everyone assumes Hulk wont be involved, which is why throwing him into Civil War with Stark and Rogers would be a brilliant unexpected turn. Studio wont commit to a possible Planet Hulk film? Do the next best thing and just use the character. Assuming Ruffalo is signed on for a six picture deal, Marvel will have used three contracted appearances once AoU comes out. That leaves three with two of those likely being fulfilled by Infinity War pt 1 and 2. Marvel should use it up in Civil War and have Ruffalo's contract be fulfilled nicely within the first three phases of the MCU. If they brought in Abomination as well, there'd be a nice counter for Hulk. I'd love to see those two have a rematch. Civil War would essentially be Avengers 2.5 directed by the Russo brothers. It'd also be a great way to test the two out on a bigger project like that before handing over Infinity War officially, presuming Whedon doesn't want to return.

God thor looks like a badass in this. I just hate the casting for Thor and Captain America. They feel so bland and meek and poorly acted. Like they could be changed the next day and no one would know the difference. RDJ is the only casting Marvel has got correct. Maybe Chris Prat but I have never read the Guardians comics so I dont know.

Regarding the bolded - Hulk will destroy Thor.
