Part of me thinks and hopes that when part 2 airs they will let the movies chill out for a couple of years and focus on minor tv heroes. Nobody wants to burn out. Especially marvel.

At least Ultron had the excuse of being based off of Stark's brainwave patterns. I can see Thanos cracking the occasional joke, but nothing more.

For all the shit I have given Whedon's stuff over the years, he did knock it out of the park with the first Avengers. The man obviously knows and loves the characters. And I like what he was trying to do with Age of Ultron, but in the end it just kind of fell flat for me.

It would be nice for him to stick around as a consultant though. I always thought he was a great idea man, even if I don't particularly like his writing.

No thanks. If this is the best then I'd shudder to think about their worst. Whedon hasn't evolved beyond his Buffy sensibilities even now. Hell Ultron was like a Buffy villain. That was too much.

Would have thought he'd evolve and actually write a decent story now but no.. still the same - decent character dialog but rubbish story. But his dialog has been becoming worse. It was better earlier and Avengers 1 definitely had better character interaction than A2.

Thanos and The Infinity Gauntlet has enough power to write out a whole bunch of characters if needed. And seeing as they are slowly introducing and explaining Terragenesis in AOS (and look like they will continue that into 2016) , the end of Infinity War could have a big event (

Knowing that the TWS team is basically making Avengers 3 has me all hot and bothered.

Probably true, but it would be weird not to see Pepper again at all. Feels like a dangling thread for her.

Which is why them filming it three years early is a stroke of brilliance.

Not only do they have THREE years (which is a fucking eternity in Hollywood) for post-production, they can re-shoot what works, and what doesn't work as need be and, in case we have a Paul Walker situation (as tragic and unfortunate as it would be) there would still be tons of footage available and the script wouldn't need to be re-written.
