Mary Kish leaving Gamespot

Good luck to Mary Kish wherever she lands.

Can't really imagine what's next for Gamespot... Like, I don't visit very often, but it seems like the writing's been on the wall there for a while now.

It seems like all the good personalities on the bigger sites are realizing they have more potential just doing their own thing instead of being stuck with a corporate company. Best of luck to her and hope it'll work out for her

Seems like a good reason to post this image I guess

Also, the new Giant Bomb hire will probably be someone you've never heard of.

Drew?

Last person at Gamespot I cared about. Good luck Mary!

I don't think she's going to GB. Maybe she's gonna do that Misscliks full time.

I really don't see her going to GB; it wouldn't even be a change in office buildings.

First thing I thought of is her helping out Danny on Noclip but that seems improbable too.

All the best Mary, she has been badly underused on camera. Her personality is so dope, she's such a badass the girlfriend of dreams. Selfishly hope she lands somewhere she's still on camera but all the best Mary.

I bet y'all wrong and she'll do her own thing somehow; Patreon allows these high-profile media peeps to do what they want if they play their cards right

Good luck to Mary though I gotta admit I'm not very familiar with her outside of her GB appearances

Mary is such a great personality on camera, with a ton of skills off camera, too. Always found her super fun to watch, and like her dark humour.

Best of luck, Mary!

I really want her to join Giantbomb as much as some of you but I don't see how that's going to work. CBS owns both Giantbomb and Gamespot. I think they're shutting down GS because it's redundant with GB and if Kish want to be on GB they can just move her internally instead letting her walk away.

At this point, the only people I really like at GameSpot are Mike Mahardy and Peter Brown. Interested in seeing where Mary Kish goes. In most instances like this I'd guess a game developer but I don't think that's happening here. I'm also very doubtful about her going to GB even though Vinny is in need of someone like her to be able to help him out.

EDIT: Just found out that she plans to continue her play through of the RE games which says to me that she's staying in SF.

The mass exodus from Gamespot continues. Probably not long now before the whole website goes under. Their community is garbage, and only consists of System Wars ; the worst slime hole the world has ever seen.

seems like a no-brainer for Giantbomb's mysterious new hire to me, but so did Danny.

The only reasons I can think of otherwise are that this is a cruel world with no justice, and that she's too good at video games to be at GB.

As much as she was a good on-air personality, she's more video and backstage, no? With Jason and Drew, does GBWest need another, vs GBEast that only has Vinny?

Poor gamespot. Peter Brown is going to be running that place off of a laptop in a basement soon if things don't change. Can't wait to see where Mary ends up next though! (Hoping for Giant Bomb even though I know it isn't realistic for her to leave one CBSi company for another.)
Peter Brown's work stinks, couldn't think of a more appropriate website.

System Wars is actually great once you become part of the community. It's one of the most tight knit group of folk I've seen on the internet.

I think that point in time was about a year ago, things like this take time and we've been watching it happen ever since.

I don't know if I see it, personally. Gamespot has always been CBSi's equivalent to IGN, with a big pool of writers and big floor shows at E3 and whatnot. It's a much bigger outfit and I don't know if Giant Bomb is interested in trying to take all that over.

I was a member for almost a decade, and de-activated my account last year because most of the long time members left, and the place got flooded with alt accounts of the lowest form of fanboys possible.
