But she’s not the only one. The press in the Rose Garden did the same thing. As soon as the cameras turned off they took off their masks and stopped social distancing to talk to each other.

It's 1984 man.

"Momentarily he caught O’Brien’s eye. O’Brien had stood up. He had taken off his spectacles and was in the act of resettling them on his nose with his characteristic gesture. But there was a fraction of a second when their eyes met, and for as long as it took to happen Winston knew—yes, he KNEW!—that O’Brien was thinking the same thing as himself."

Sheriff of Merced in California nuked Emperor Newsom he sent this letter to Newsom directly:

"When this Pandemic first came to light and our nation took the stance to “shelter in place” I was skeptical but supported any effort to protect our citizens from this disease. This included having to deal with a local church pastor who defied his order. As time marched on, it became very apparent that decisions were being made on what “could happen” but hasn’t come close to the “predictions” that are being fed to our citizens. “We are going to peak within the next two weeks!” This has been the battle cry for two months. I even went so far as to secure equipment to house all the bodies that were to overrun my county due to COVID based on what was being reported out of the Governor’s Office. Guess what, it still hasn’t occurred. You know what “could happen” each day? Car crashes, airplane crashes, food poisoning, LE getting ambushed, and I could keep going!! But we as citizens continue to face these “could happens” each day. The world is a very dangerous place and we face it daily knowing the risks. But here in America, we decide what chances to take based on any risk factor and that includes going to work as a cop for the last 41 years. The Constitution gives us that right. I doubt that the Governor would ever take a job where the dangers are as constant as they are in my CHOSEN profession. But I, along with millions of men and women do this every day knowing the risks. Nobody has the right to dictate what risks I’m going to take when I leave my house and this includes an elected governor. If I go to a business and I feel that the risk is to high, I can make a choice whether or not to do business there. And this includes getting a haircut or getting a routine dental checkup.

When Governor Newsom took to the airwaves and then singled out a county because they didn’t follow his orders and treated them differently, it became obvious to me that this whole lock down was based upon him being able to have control over the citizens of this state. He is treating this state’s counties as he has claimed to be treated by the President in the very recent past.
That statement also pointed out that different counties have different issues and should be treated independently and not covered under one blanket. That statement is a fact whether or not there is a pandemic. He is using the Public Health director as his authority in an attempt to maintain control over the citizens based solely on what “could happen” keeping in mind that the PH Director reports directly to him.

Governor Newsom now threatens the different local jurisdictions regarding funding if they don’t follow his orders. Didn’t he sue the President for holding funding due to him defying the President’s orders? Our current situation is reflective of a short statement I recently read that seems to fit here; “If the barn yard were to hold an election, the cows, chickens, pigs and horses would vote for the hand that feeds them. Even though that same hand will eventually lead them to slaughter” Hmmm. That’s what is happening here in this state and possibly other states. Economic slaughter is what we are facing because of his continuous behavior to keep this nation’s greatest state economy from thriving. The majority of the citizens are on the verge of a state wide revolt because they are losing the possibility to regain their businesses because of the tremendous financial loss they suffered. I truly believe that Governor Newsom’s motivation is to have the majority of the citizens (and illegal residents) dependant on governments assistance so he could maintain this control once this “pandemic” is declared over. This is being caused based upon a crisis he himself has caused in this state based on a declared pandemic on a virus that should have been dealt on a completely different level. The CURE should not be worse than the disease.

So, the answer you are looking for is this. I WILL NOT be taking any enforcement action in this county for any of the COVID-19 “violations”. As the Governor has also directed the Sheriff’s to release felons onto our streets and LE in general to completely disregard the safety of our citizens by not allowing most felons from even being booked but then wants us in LE to arrest people for standing closer than 6 feet or worshiping their religious beliefs in a building. My decision is based on the Constitutional Rights afforded our citizens and I as the Constitutional Law Enforcement Authority in Merced County, I am here to uphold them. The citizens themselves can make informed decisions on how to proceed and protect their lives and livelihood and not the Governor of a state. Remember that the people elected a governor, not an emperor."

Has anyone that's staying with conspiracy family, find a way to finally convince them to take this seriously?

If so, what was it? A video, post? Tell me damn it. They're driving me insane with their Qanon shit.

Luckily i don't but i don't think it's really possible since they can discredit whatever you show them with "Fake", "Fake Numbers", "Gov. faked news" or "Gates faked it".
It's like trying to convince an atheist that god exists.

Yeah that's definitely true. Unfortunately, someone close to them would have to croak or come close to it from this virus for them to open their eyes. But even then..."It wasn't covid!!"

That's the Prevention Paradox. Since Lockdowns and other measures are working, in many places people won't get in contact with the virus in any kind. Resulting in these people thinking the virus cannot possibly be that bad and in the result criticising the measures taken.

The questions are long term solutions, unless anyone thinks the current measures are sustainable. The virus is widespread and international. So even if by some miracle, we eliminate it in any one country, unless they impose restriction which destroy international travel, the virus is a fixture unless and until a vaccine is discovered. We are very fortunate this isn’t MERS with a +40% mortality rate.

What we need are numbers that help people assess their individual risk to themselves and those around them so they can make good decisions. So much of what you hear in the news is sensationalized and agenda driven.

These subreddits might help:

I have a family member who has been deep into Q for years. Aliens are hidden in Antarctica, any day now the deep state will be taken down, etc. He even does a daily broadcast on YouTube about his "findings". At family gatherings I try to stay far away from him.

CDC Confirms COVID Link to Inflammatory Syndrome in Kids; 145 Potential Cases in NYC

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed the link between a rare, potentially deadly syndrome in children with COVID-19, a belief already held by New York physicians, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Monday.

New York City's health department has found 145 cases of children sickened by what was previously referred to as pediatric multi system inflammatory syndrome (PIMS-TS). De Blasio says the city will work under the CDC's latest definition of what it now calls multi-system inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) to determine the most accurate case count.

"The CDC has confirmed a link to COVID-19. This is important, we assumed it, but they have done additional research to 100 percent confirm it and released a national standard definition," de Blasio said Monday.

The syndrome has now been reported in nearly half the nation's states, including New Jersey and Connecticut. It doesn't look or "smell" like COVID, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Sunday, but 90 percent of the children displaying symptoms in New York have tested positive for either the virus or the antibodies, indicating they had it at some point.

70% of the kids needed to be put in intensive care.

So this shit is the most disingenuous shit on earth. Not you posting it, but the media. In 2009 the CDC estimated about 5,500 cases of Kawasaki disease. The fact that they are noting 150 possible cases, some of which may have nothing to do with Covid, is media bullshit of the highest degree.

This isn't Kawasaki disease. Its something that has Kawasaki like symptoms that doctors have only recently begun noticing becoming a more widespread problem. The CDC simply confirmed that there is in fact a link between Covid and this new(?) disease.

Bergamo, Italy saw a 30 fold increase of Kawasaki like cases when it got hit hard with Covid. Nothing bullshit about this.

HAHA Newsom got fucked hard by the counties. They went in dry and raw.

He was forced to rescind the order that said they couldn't open if they've had more than 1 death in 14 days because that's IMPOSSIBLE to meet.

Its so widespread no one noticed it for months. It’s so serious that in the midst of everyone micro analyzing everything about the virus, the managed to miss this “ widespread problem”. Spare me. 150 cases under investigation is statistically irrelevant.

And just to clarify, Kawasaki is more syndrome than disease. It’s an inflammatory response usually in children that effects blood vessels. The symptoms are essentially the disease.

Widespread meaning its being discovered in children from around the world. This being a rare condition doesn't make it bullshit or statistically irrelevant.

Also, if these cases fall under Kawasaki why did the CDC give this disease the name "Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome"?

At this point they don’t have enough data, but it’s been suggested that this meets most or all diagnosis criteria for Kawasaki Disease. What is bullshit is when the media doesn’t put this in the proper context. This is exceedingly rare. To put this out there as anything the average parent should be worried about is typical media spin.

Again, I’m not saying it shouldn’t be posted. But the way this is presented generally does not put it in the proper context at all.

150 cases out of nearly 5000000 (more if you consider China not to be telling the truth and definitely not if we consider how many asymptomatic people never get tested) is a pretty low rate - I think we can call it statistically insignificant.

With all of the medications I would speculate are being administered, I'm wondering if this is maybe Stevens-Johnson syndrome.

Common triggers are NSAIDs, Tylenol and other medications. However, pneumonia can trigger SJS as well.

With covid, I'm guessing use of these types of medications are way up. Pneumonia also being around well...

It's a pretty rare condition - a lot of docs don't know of it's existence. Just so happens that one of my family members gets this from medication.

What doctor doesn't know what Stevens Johnson Syndrome is??

And what are you even referring to?

Actually you’d be surprised. Doctors either overspecialise or overgeneralise. They often work hours that leave no time to keep up to date or to expand their knowledge, they’re just on a treadmill dealing with mad people or keeping people alive.

Stevens Johnson Syndrome is a can't miss medical diagnosis, in every single textbook for generations. It's about the only serious dermatological condition you can bet that every doctor knows about.

A Chinese laboratory has been developing a drug it believes has the power to bring the coronavirus pandemic to a halt.

The outbreak first emerged in China late last year before spreading across the world, prompting an international race to find treatments and vaccines.

A drug being tested by scientists at China's prestigious Peking University could not only shorten the recovery time for those infected, but even offer short-term immunity from the virus, researchers say.

Sunney Xie, director of the university's Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Genomics, told AFP that the drug has been successful at the animal testing stage.

"When we injected neutralizing antibodies into infected mice, after five days the viral load was reduced by a factor of 2,500," said Xie.

"That means this potential drug has [a] therapeutic effect."

The drug uses neutralizing antibodies -- produced by the human immune system to prevent the virus infecting cells -- which Xie's team isolated from the blood of 60 recovered patients.

A study on the team's research, published Sunday in the scientific journal Cell, suggests that using the antibodies provides a potential "cure" for the disease and shortens recovery time.

Xie said his team had been working "day and night" searching for the antibody.

"Our expertise is single-cell genomics rather than immunology or virology. When we realized that the single-cell genomic approach can effectively find the neutralizing antibody we were thrilled."

He added that the drug should be ready for use later this year and in time for any potential winter outbreak of the virus, which has infected 4.8 million people around the world and killed more than 315,000.

"Planning for the clinical trial is underway," said Xie, adding it will be carried out in Australia and other countries since cases have dwindled in China, offering fewer human guinea pigs for testing.

"The hope is these neutralized antibodies can become a specialized drug that would stop the pandemic," he said.

China already has five potential coronavirus vaccines at the human trial stage, a health official said last week.

But the World Health Organization has warned that developing a vaccine could take 12 to 18 months.

Scientists have also pointed to the potential benefits of plasma -- a blood fluid -- from recovered individuals who have developed antibodies to the virus enabling the body's defenses to attack it.

More than 700 patients have received plasma therapy in China, a process which authorities said showed "very good therapeutic effects".

"However, it [plasma] is limited in supply," Xie said, noting that the 14 neutralizing antibodies used in their drug could be put into mass production quickly.

Prevention and cure

Using antibodies in drug treatments is not a new approach, and it has been successful in treating several other viruses such as HIV, Ebola and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).

Xie said his researchers had "an early start" since the outbreak started in China before spreading to other countries.

Ebola drug Remdesivir was considered a hopeful early treatment for COVID-19 -- clinical trials in the US showed it shortened the recovery time in some patients by a third -- but the difference in mortality rate was not significant.

The new drug could even offer short-term protection against the virus.

The study showed that if the neutralizing antibody was injected before the mice were infected with the virus, the mice stayed free of infection and no virus was detected.

This may offer temporary protection for medical workers for a few weeks, which Xie said they are hoping to "extend to a few months".

More than 100 vaccines for COVID-19 are in the works globally, but as the process of vaccine development is more demanding, Xie is hoping that the new drug could be a faster and more efficient way to stop the global march of the coronavirus.

"We would be able to stop the pandemic with an effective drug, even without a vaccine," he said.

Sorry, this is not true. Have had doctor's on 3 occasions try to administer medication they should not have. They did not know what SJS was.

Not saying anything about the textbook part. Just that it was missed on multiple occasions and the doctors asked what SJS was.

With my wife's line of work I get to hear of all sorts of horrors from doctors. Some can't even spot appendicitis for instance. Hell, I had a near miss myself in hospital where I was down for an operation to repair the injured bit, but the doctor misread what was there and thought it was removal. I was lucky to be able to intervene and prevent that.

My daughter went in to the hospital with a broken arm, and the doctor was looking at some other guys x-ray of a different part of the body and was like 'all looks fine here' i had to tell him thats not her name and thats not the same body part

Good thing you spoke up as most Brits assume that the Doctor knows best and would have it removed.

Was his surname Nick? After watching too many Simpsons, I cannot trust a Doctor with that name and with that accent, as well as that one scene where he puts implants in Marge by accident.

Yep - it would have been pretty bad for me. Honestly the stuff that goes on would make your eyes water. Btw a little life tip - avoid Welsh hospitals.

Looking like our church can finally gather for worship in its rental space by the end of May -- after 11 consecutive missed Lord's Days. We'll be following some mitigation strategies in order to fulfill all righteousness, though the virus has had very little effect in our area. (Fewer than 20 cases, almost all have already recovered.)

Listen to them.

Doubt that'll work - there's so much confirmation bias running rampant that most people have lost objectivity. Even within the non-"conspiracy" theory crowd, people are ignoring data and news that doesn't fit their narrative and fears.

I think I mentioned this a handful of pages back, but as the risk profile of this pandemic becomes clearer with each new piece of credible data, it's just turned into a political shit show...conspiracy-theorist or not.

That 150 number is NYC alone.
