Massive Killzone Shadow Fall campaign blow-out on GTTV this week

I was gonna skip the vids and just watch the gifs, but every second will probably be giffed anyway so may as well watch it all. :p
 
I hope they don't show too much of the game like lot of devs are doing these days. I will try to avoid it as much as possible but it will be hard because of the reactions and gifs!! :)
 
Fuck yes!!!!! We have only seen like 1 or 2 missions so far. Looking forward to more diverse environments and something on the story. I wonder why the waited so long, this should have happened at E3.
 
Hmm. I want to watch because I want to see something new but I don't want to watch so I can be legitimately surprised by what I see when I actually play the game a month from now.

I think I'll wait.

It's funny to see people make comments like this, because they clearly never read the timeline.
 
I'm on full media blackout from now until release....and that's for all next-gen games. I've seen enough for now to know that KZ will be getting purchased.

I've never played a killzone game and don't really feel like going back to but this is the only game im getting at launch. So, what should i know?

Not very. I'd recommend checking out the intros to the other games on YouTube, and all you really need to know is that two planets went to war with each other (Helghan and Vekta), the Helghast are painted as the bad guys but were basically shunned by Earth and Vekta and underwent generations of oppression. At the end of KZ3 a team of idiotic Vektan soldiers basically incinerate the planet's atmosphere, accidentally causing I would assume genocide, so the remaining Helghan people in Shadow Fall have been granted asylum on Vekta.

I think that's pretty much the size of it as things stand so far.

Yeah if you don't intend to play the PS3 games at some point, just read up on the story. Actually, the setting & history stuff is rather cool imo but the games don't really get into that anyway.
 
Now people can finally stop complaining about seeing that same outdoors mission over and over. :)

I'm kind of nervous though, and don't want anything spoiled. Night peek a few times and quit.

So what's the story in Shadow Fall?
 
I can't even imagine how the game's single player component looks now with the multiplayer looking as good as it does, now there'll be added effects because of halved frame rate. Jesus Christ I need to lay down...

ISA and Helghast are living side by side divided by a vast wall (since Helghan was destroyed). Bunch of Helghast start a terrorist faction called the "black hand," they seemed to be well funded, I guess you have to stop and investigate them.
 
I have a feeling this will be mind blowing. They'll probably be showing close to a final build. The amount of shit they had going on in the background in Killzone 2 and 3 was ridiculous for PS3 hardware. A fps has never felt so alive to me.
 
I'm hoping this game is a bit of a second wind for the Killzone franchise.

I've always thought the world and characters were more interesting than people give credit, and at least 2 of the 4 games so far (2 and Mercs) are legitimately very good FPS games.
