i've done such a huge u-turn on this game. gonna own. not sure which version to get though. ps3 is downstairs so like more social and shit, but pc is upstairs.

No one expected this to look this good. If it had launched years ago I highly doubt we would have gotten a product anywhere near this quality.

Yeah I was in the "OMG BALD NOOOEZ!" Crowd at the start, but my love for Max Payne and just how fucking good this looks has made me u-turn also. Cannot wait.

when i first saw the first batch of screenshots, i did have my doubts. but then again, this is rockstar we're talking about. they always seems to know what to give us that we didn't know we wanted.

i don't want to start trolling but i heard somewhere they are looking to make the bully 2. i can't imagine how that's going to turn out, but all i know it's going to be fantastic

- The location doesn't fit the noir setting, like South America.
- Doesn't seem to have any memorable characters so far. Like a strong female one. Mona Sax was a terrific character.
- The "comic strip" version is so distracting and terrible made.
- The marketing so far with the tech videos I don't like at all. I don't want to see the tech. I want a good trailer with the MP music we know.

If they didn't use the MP brand, sure I would have been more impressed.

Once we started getting proper information and media, I don't see why people would think that this wasn't going to be, at least, decent. Obviously bald Max in Brazil sounded quite shocking at the time, but I took the "wait and see" approach.

I didn't expect it to look THIS good, but I do that with most games.

Fuck, I'm probably gonna get the PC version for the summer vacations. Damn, this looks great, I only hope it is long enough and doesn't get repetitive. Then again, it also has multiplayer...

It'll be a long game in the sense of you'll need to take every level VERY VERY SLOWLY. You can't go in run and gunning or you WILL die. You absolutely need to use cover and bullet time.

Yes, and I would have preferred more of those.

I got no hype for this game at all. It's almost like Crysis 2 for me now. But we'll see. I might change my mind later on. Probably will check out some gameplay later in the year.

Diablo 3 comes out on the same day, so no MP for a while (if ever)

Jumping on to the chain and owning 8 guys, and the ending of that final kill cam where he just keeps pouring bullets into the dude..don't know which scene was better.

Great stuff. Awesome music a well.

The more stylish story trailers are fine (loved the second one), but I much prefer seeing these come out. Shows more gameplay, and I actually like that narrator they use. Dude fuckin' breaks this shit down.

yea me too, these videos make me wanna buy the game more than a trailer could.

I wish all games did this.OT but I can't wait to see the videos for GTA V.

I always love R*'s cinematic trailers, so I hope we get another one plus the launch trailer before the game releases.

I am always fond of a well put together trailer.

That was cheap as hell when max did the slow mo crane thing at the end
I didn't know 1 round of 9x19 Would defeat body armor (most effective against pistol rounds) and kill the guy wearing it from a shot to the chest through the armor

Me too. I never watch launch trailers before I finish a game since they're usually teeming with spoilers but I love going back after I'm done and looking at them.

So is Max Payne way better than stranglehold? I've played stranglehold and I know that copied Payne's style, so I'm wondering what this has besides Mr. Woo + enhanced graphics. Sorry, haven't much been following this one. Looks really fun, but somewhat repetitive.

Better story, better gameplay, more immersive atmosphere, higher production values, made by Rockstar, AND IT'S THE RETURN OF THE ORIGINAL KING OF SHOOTERS.

Wow. This game looks absolutely AMAZING. First shooter since Vanquish that might prove to be genuinely exciting. Judging by these trailers, Rockstar is absolutely nailing the classic gameplay of the series while significantly enhancing virtually every aspect of it.

Those bullet wounds are godlike.

If you're referring to OG Max Payne, then absolutely. Especially MP2: best third person shooter by a hundred miles.
Can't speak for the new one, obviously, but it looks pretty neat.
