The WWE really needs to, among other things, re-evaluate the current GM situation. Back when it was Heyman and Bischoff, you knew things were about to pick up when a GM came out.
The Anonymous GM angle has been beaten to death 100 times over. It's an angle that should've lasted 3 months
at most, as no one is really wondering out loud who it is anymore, and it has been way more detrimental to the quality of the show than it needed to be. It is, without a doubt, a pacing killer. Now every time two superstars are arguing in the ring, they leave an awkward pause so that they can cue the ding, then we wait while Cole grabs a mic, stands up, and glacially reads the announcement, which is usually just "you're going to have a match!".
Also, Teddy Long is the most vanilla GM I could possibly imagine, so much so that he's nearly as bad as the Anonymous RAW GM.
If I could pick two people to be the GMs, I'd probably go with Cornette and Schiavone, as they'd both have "Oh, snap!" reveals and be great on the mic. I realize that these are both circling around 0% chance of happening, though.
