I just ordered another one. My wife and I are playing through Lego LotR and it's kind of a pain in direct input mode since it says "push button 1" "push button 2" which is meaningless. Now we'll both be able to play in Xinput which will be much better.

Being in Switzerland, my only option to get ahold of this thing is eBay. Can anyone recommend a good seller? Prices seem to vary a bit and I'm not sure if there's knock-offs out there as well.

Like, are these legit? Shows them with no packaging...

If they're getting 98.6% positive feedback they're probably legit. I just got mine from this seller: http://www.ebay.com.hk/usr/divineocn

No problems and they shipped quickly from HK. I'm not sure about shipping to Switzerland though.

Does anyone know if this adapter works with Vita TV as well as PS3? It might be something to keep in mind if I ever get a Playstation TV... I feel like it would be more worth my while to get a Wii U Pro controller rather than a DualShock 3.

Seems interesting anough. I haven't yet tried the Pro Controller despite owning a Wii U since a year or so, is it a comfortable option? I really like how the Gamepad feels.

I use it on PS3. The only real issue is that the Home and power buttons don't work on the PS3, but you can just use the Home button on your PS3 controller.

I was actually checking to see if there was a new firmware to fix that issue when I ran into this thread again, but it looks like they haven't updated the firmware for it since July of 2013.

Just chiming in, played through Guacamelee on this and never had an issue. Just played an hour of Astebreed and was controlling just fine.

Definitely a worthy purchase.

I would have figured by now that someone would have come up with custom drivers that allow you to reverse the face button swap in Xinput mode. Shows how ignorant I am when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I'm debating to myself about whather I like using the Wii U Pro Controller more than the Wii Classic Controller Pro. The big benefit I only see is XInput, which is useful for games/apps that hate DirectInput (like Onlive), but I myself get confused over Nintendo standard button layout vs. Xbox layout (I still prefer A being "Accept" and B being "Back"), which is why I might prefer "Button 1" and so on.

Wii U Pro is probably the best controller on the market. dat d-pad. dat battery life. dat symmetrical thumbsticks.

Odd. I keep hearing people claim DS4 is the best controller. But I guess its because people are too used to Sony's button layout more. I prefer YXBA over the others.

Edit: I tried the above remapping program. How do I make it so that my Control Pad acts like a Stick instead (for fighting games)?

I have a Wii U Tekken Fightstick that I am using with a Mayflash Classic Controller Adaptor.

I am using with the Steam version of Ultra SF4.

How do I configure the buttons to be correct on the stick and what are the settings for this?

thanks I have used a program called Joy2Key to get it partly working.

the only problem I have now is that the R and L buttons are not detected and can't be configured.

can anyone help with this?

I've been using this for a long time and absolutely love it, but somewhat recently it's been doing something strange whereby it will just randomly drop out the connection between the adapter and the wii u pro controller. For about 5 seconds at a time, no inputs will be recorded, and then it reconnects and works fine again.

Anyone else had this issue, and/or been able to fix it?

I'm using this device and works fantastic. Only thing is when the 360 button prompts are on screen it's a bit jarring when the button isn't where it usually is but I'm getting used to it.

Having said that, how do i go about switching from WiiU to PC? Haven't worked it out yet.

Just resync the controller with whichever you want to use it with.

Quick impressions:

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro x64

As posted earlier, there's an update to swap the controller's face buttons mapping. To enter in update mode, press and hold the Sync button before connecting the device to the USB port on your computer and then update; it should take a second.

Tried to play XInput compatible games in my Steam collection and it works perfectly. Changing the face buttons mapping is easy as described in the last firmware update but there's no visual notification on either the controller or the adapter when it's done; no biggie. The button map swapping functionality should answer the main complain for this product I've seen a lot of people express on the web before I've purchased the device.

Also, although I've read about it yesterday, the Wii U Pro Controller can indeed vibrate/rumble even though it's so light! (I never owned a Wii U) O_O

Changing the face button mode isn't working for me. Edit: Got it now. When I tried to do the update and held down the button, Windows did a driver update so I thought that was all I needed, but I actually had to download the firmware from here.

Tried more games and emulators and it's working flawlessly. All the Windows games were played with the Xbox buttons mapping without any issues. Quite happy with my purchase :)

It's probably just in my head, but it feels like there's more input lag with the swapping off.

Either way, glad they finally decided to update the firmware.

Downloaded the firmware update from their website but it won't let me update. Keeps telling I have to put the adapter in update mode. How do I do that?

Finally! I've been hoping they'd swap the buttons but I didn't think they ever would. The best PC controller just got even better.
