I'm sure they must have tried it out on some McDonalds already to see how the concept worked. Now they're applying it to all 13,000 franchises.Brobzoid said:this is old people. Hmm, maybe in bigger cities, but on south of Canada, I have yet to see one such redesigned McDonalds.BocoDragon said:Speaking for myself, the Canadian McDonalds have already gone through a makeover in the last two years.

Same here, except for couches, in Brazil.BocoDragon said:Speaking for myself, the Canadian McDonalds have already gone through a makeover in the last two years. Looking at the pictures it's a different image (more "chalet lodge"), but it's the same fireplaces, wifi, couches deal.
It's been this way for a while in a few of them here in LA. Some of them have plasma tvs you can play videogames on. It feels awkward, though. I haven't been to McDonald's in 3 years and this hasn't and won't be drawing me in any time soon.Fifty said:Where do you live?
Hmmm, that's actually a good point. Again, in East Europe, McD is one of the more expensive fast food restaurants, at least compared to other local burger joints. Combine that with fancier look I mentioned, and lo and behold, a lot more normal looking people go there, and a whole lot less hobos and obviously poor retired ones.lexy said:If McDonald's wants to attract young professionals they should start by raising their prices.

Divide the store in half. Half gets the traditional mcdonalds, the other half gets the McCafé, with design and style.
Don't worry, I'm sure they're getting to it.lexy said:If McDonald's wants to attract young professionals they should start by raising their prices.
While I totally agree, when was the last time you went into a dine-in McDonalds that was empty? Seems like every one I've ever been to has people sitting inside.Guileless said:Just curious, but when was the last time anyone actually went into a McDonalds and sat down and ate there? I avoid fast food as a general rule, but it's sometimes a necessity when traveling. I can't even imagine going in and sitting there and eating.

:lol Exactly, as has been said numerous times. For the amount of money this bullshit company spends on marketing and "style", you think they could make the food taste decent for a reasonable price.jett said:Now give me food that doesn't taste like absolute shit and we have a deal.
