Screen shots are so 2005...game looks way better in motion

"Looks better in motion" is the universal excuse for a game that looks ass when studied closely and magically gets better when you move around, motion blur in your face and you don't have time to actually look at the style, textures and details.

just my personal opinion, I don't care about screen shots at all.

Sorry but I have to agree with SniperHunter. For the exact reason you said above - when you're playing the game you don't sit there studying it closely unless you're looking for flaws. In motion is how it's actually going to look when you're playing - that's what's important.

If your only benchmark for looking good is texture resolution and overall artistic vision then sure. But come on. Show me an image of a game and I have no way of knowing if there's an impressive real time lighting/shadow engine, or if the entire scene is static and prebaked. There's plenty of merit behind the "looks better in motion" argument, beyond awful blur filters smothering everything, in a medium inherently built on rendering complex lighting, shadow and shader dynamics in real time.

Guess we're playing games differently.

well, you cant fault the game for not being pretty at least. that mission at the ship yard was pretty damn awesome. Scripted as fuck, but awesome.

make sure you've quit Origin and it's not running in the background. connect to VPN, select the server, now try launching Origin and it should automatically unlock. make sure to put Origin into offline mode and don't allow it to communicate wtih EA's servers otherwise it'll re-lock, also don't quit Origin otherwise you'll have to do it all over again.

No luck dude. Just sat here trying to get in again, finally got on, activated and ran with origin, origin fired up. Moh shows as playable, so I run it and same error "This game has not been unlocked. Please try again later"

Discovered that when you're sprinting and then crouch, you can do a cool slide. I surprised my enemy like that, and got a quick headshot.

if the game unlocks in one of these countries you can

go here and enter your email to get a code: http://incloak.com/demo/
enter the code in the promo box and you can download the openvpn config files to get 1hr of free vpn useage

copy the config files into the openvpn config folder, boot it up and connect to the server. launch origin and it should unlock.

i've used this plenty of times for steam and origin

damn well I tried... the good news though is that you've only got six more hours to go. lol

Pretty much has worked for all the COD games. Don't look at the shitty low polygon enviros and awful texture work, go go go 60+fps woohoo shit all over my screen and rock riffs! OMG I unlocked something!

Has anyone by chance seen any videos of this on PS3? Was curious to see how that version looks.

Each class has their own special equipment they can use?

edit: omfg at the melee kills.

Yeah, each class has its own grenades and abilities:

Sniper: Bipod
Assaulter: Grenade Launcher
Demo: Tank Stance
Heavy Gunner: Bipod
Spec Ops: Signal Scan
Point Man: Hi-power ammo

Really not liking the maps, feel restricted. I'll unlock a few more things and go back straight to bf3 or better yet chivalry!
Not all is lost though, there's that bf4 beta invite!

Vids are popping up on Youtube.

PC Ultra settings 1080p gameplay

I just saw a leak video of someone playing this level while doing almost nothing, highlighting how ridiculously scripted it is. At this point you're basically an actor in a movie, and it's only really fun if you let yourself fall completely into the illusion of gameplay.

That said, graphically this game looks fucking insane cranked up on PC. I would honestly be satisfied if this is what next gen looked like. Hell, after I build my next system I might buy this game at sub-$20 just to give it a workout.

Funnily enough, the same reasons that you mention are why a game shouldn't be judged in motion are why I think a game should only be judged in motion.

Anyway I'm also looking forward to some ps3 impressions and ro see if the tone and atmosphere of 2010's has been preserved.

Im hearing the maps are smaller than MOH2010s is that true? D:

Also anyone got some feedback on how hardcore mode is for MP?

Having a pretty big issue with the game. The tutorial instructs you to press the middle mouse button while zoomed in to toggle the scope. Problem is, when I do that, the game goes from fullscreen to windowed mode, and it does not toggle scopes. =/

A magnifying glass also pops up on my screen.

That's pretty meta.

I would double check your Windows accessibility options.

I found an option to change the toggle scope button in the key bindings. Felt a little silly.

Impressions so far: single-player is intense. The audiovisual package is sweet. The enemy AI isn't bad either. They'll try to rush and flank you.

I like how, when I screwed up a stealth mission, and it went to full-blown action, I didn't need to restart. I just had to deal with a ton of enemies. After a while, they stopped spawning, and we continued the mission.

In the interest of objectivity, though, there are some things I dislike. Scripted sequences are fine, but when you take control away from the player, that's not fine. A lot of cool shit happens in this game - cranes falling down around you, Little Birds and Apaches blowing the crap out of Somalian pirates, but I want to see that myself. This game takes control away from you, and forces you to look at them. In the case of the helos gunning down pirates, you're forced to look at it through the scope of a sniper rifle, so you can't see everything clearly.

Small complaint, but it does bug me.

I'm loving the MP on PC like I figured since the last time I played it quite a few months ago. It feels pretty smooth and does have its own feel to it.

Some of the maps look pretty weak, though I haven't seen them all. This one looks pretty large.

Thanks for the vid & much appreciated!

will watch with sound off. generally hate vids with people talking in them. D:

Its nice to see in the vid the guys partner is actually using the lean it looks like. Seems to be more of a peek rather than a lean. Am sure it will be useful though, more than sticking out ones whole body anyways.

Just played the first 3 missions on PC

- This game looks really good. Theres a definite Battlefield 3 look and feel to everything, but it doesn't feel exactly the same
- I like the breaching options. They amount to the same thing in the end but choice is nice I guess
- I like how you can change from regular sights to scopes and back again on the fly
- There was a weird glitch where between missions the game lowered the resolution on me and I had to change it back in the options again. Weird.
- Looks like theres 13 missions in total based on the mission select screen. I played for about 45 minutes and just got to mission 4. I hope the missions get longer.
- I'm getting very similar framerates with this game as I do in BF3. Everything maxed with 4xAA and I'm getting over 60 FPS.

But still, overall so far I'm really liking this game :)

Well, my preorder sniper just randomly unlocked in BL so I guess it just took a few games to register...lol

Anyone who needs a battle buddy on PC, add Demolitio on Origin. Usually at the top but can't keep a teammate for the life of me.

Day 0/1 patches aren't even worth complaining about anymore. It just means that the team kept working on the game rather than having it go gold then sitting on their hands until post-launch complaints. Also defers piracy I guess?

Is this only if you buy through origin?
I bought it through the webstore, I haven't been on the client for while, but it looks like they more or less synched up their web store and their client storefront rather than keeping them separate.

I believe you can use any code even if you don't have BF3 premium, but someone with it has to give it away.

Ok thanks. I have bought it from my local retail store. I thought it might have emailed when you activate your cd key or something.
