Well, the PS2 Eyeshield 21 game (published by Konami) only sold 12,000 in its first week, and that was during Christmas week.

12,418 Eyeshield 21: AmeFoot Yarouze! Ya! Ha! (Konami) (12/22/05) - through Dec 25/05

So, the DS version (36,811) tripled the PS2 first week sales, and it did that during a much slower sales period as well - so I would say that the DS sales for Eyeshield 21 are pretty impressive.

I really don't know anything about this game though, and I'm not sure if this and the PS2 version are completely different styles of games or not. They are both listed as action games though, and they were both published by top-tier publishers.

Maybe someone else knows more about the merits of each of these two titles, but it seems like strong sales for the DS version, at least based upon the PS2 sales for this property.

They probably ramped down production quite a bit to manufacture the DS Lite.

Okay so what am hearing in the streets is that Sonys bastard child could possible gain some momentum because of easter shortages and chinese sweat shop workers on strike but things should be back to normal with DS Lite on the way, the absolute nail in Sony's already defeated empire.......to think they could just come in riding the PS2 dick was their biggest mistake ever ne?

Its funny how people note that companys ride at the top of the food chain normally lasts 2 generations before they do something stupid and arrogant as they feel they are on top and can do no wrong?
