Wii is finally doomed - since PSP Slim's coming out along with MinGol portable, it will wipe out the floor with the Wii.

Since PS3 is part of the Playstation brand, it will also somehow wipe the floor with the Wii.
Murder by association. :D

why should i be joking around here? you guys just can't take it that the wii sales--one of the reasons these threads are as big as they are--are starting to drop harder than other systems'. it's time for a reality check, people.
Yup, soon enough the PS3 will be outselling the Wii and all will be as it should.

now now, let's not overreact. We can't just nuke the place when there's a small problem, yes? It's not worth the sacrifice.

And bud's right anyway. When the worldwide megahit Too Human comes out very early next year, it's all over for the competition. There's nothing in the other companies' lineup that comes even close to Too Human.
It is true, Dennis said so.

Believe!

Ah, I still remember when this was hyped back in the N64 days.

The reason why Wii is not selling as latest weeks is simple :

no games, no sales

the last bunch of games arrived at the end of July / beginnin of August, then no significative game arrived till now (and it's over a month...) and no one will arrive till Mario Strikers Charged (and it will be over a month and a half...)

Usually October is the month with the lowest sales during the year, but for Wii i feel it will September, cause October line-up is more consistent (even if selling in the same day Gintama, Zak & Wiki, Ghost Squad and DDR is not properly wise)

Strikers Charged is actually coming out next week.

Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates is continuing to track decently ahead of the original game on a per week basis.

Code:
Crystal Chronicles	GC 191,602 70,360 27,968 355,470
Crystal Chronices: RoF	NDS	207,000 77,000 33,000 317,000

Phoenix Wright 3 is also doing nicely compared to its predecessors:

Code:
Apollo Justice NDS 240,275 58,589 39,196 471,947
Phoenix Wright DS	NDS 50,469 14,989 6,383 117,784
Phoenix Wright DS (BP)	NDS 10,898 9,125 7,100 198,182
Phoenix Wright 2 DS	NDS 22,428 13,764 8,416 164,484
Phoenix Wright 3 DS	NDS	57,000 20,000 14,000 106,000

As it should because it is the best game in the series :lol

I always questioned the tastes in the Japanese making the 2nd game the highest in the series when it was THE WORST of the Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney games. Since this is trending really nice and will beat the 2nd game in sales I don't have to question them anymore.

Thanks ethelred, these are often my favourite bits of these threads. Pheonix Wright 2 and 3 were both released as Best Price to start with right?

Either way, great sales for all three, I wonder how many are imports.

Do Famitsu/MC track the likely candidates for import sales like P-A?

No, online retailers are not tracked, period. There are a handful of games for which this would be a huge issue--I believe it was noted that Play-Asia sold 10,000 copies of Ouendan, for example. Also, the PS2 launch had a shit-ton of online sales that are not tracked anywhere. JoshuaJSlone can give you a more exact number on that, as well as whether or not the tracking companies have taken those sales into account through a catchup algorithm or anything.

I think if Play-Asia released sales data we'd be having a separate thread for them :D

Yeah - big hole in the JP data that...

In the UK pretty much all major online retailers are tracked, along with supermarkets and proper game stores.

If you take into account that GC was at only about 4 million, and DS is at about 20 million, CC:RoF isn't doing that much better. I hope RoF has legs.

I think a lot of people said that you can not expect DS games to increase five times against GC games just because the DS userbase is five times GC userbase. Most will say the sales# should only double at most. Part of the reason is because of increased competition in DS (compared to GC). Not just in the same genre (ARPG), but games in other genre (training, simulation, dictitionary etc).

You shouldn't take advantage of stupid people like that. *goes to the corner in shame at his own idiocy*
