Looks like Sony is clawing their way back into the top 10 with all three of their hardware occupying atleast one spot.

It's not such a wonderful world afterall. What is causing this game to do so poorly? If it's the new IP bit, Square should have bundled a demo of Dragon Quest IX or something to ensure its success.

Oh, and WTF at FF XII? Side games should be doing MUCH better than that. DQS did several times better.
It's not a side game. It's just a rejiggered version of the original FFXII.

When was Face Training released? Because it seems to have dropped very quickly.
Face Training is not a normal training game. It's based on a specific japanese cultural phenomenon, Facening. The game itself really had no chance to sell outside the audience for Facening in general.

It'd be like if there was a South Beach Training or something here. If you weren't interested in the South Beach diet, you wouldn't be interested in a video game based on it.

(and Facening especially is dubious and not well supported by research, unlike most of the training games)

That seems awfully bad for FFXII International. I think someone said the price dropped like ~$20 or so after the second day on Amazon.jp, guess that makes sense then. Anyone have any idea how well the other FF Internationals have sold?

Why do people keep buying Mario Party games again?
Wii owners in Japan never owned a gaming console before so this is the first time they have bought a Mario Party game.
