These 3DS titles are listed as ''Spring 2011''.

[3DS] Nintendogs + Cats (Nintendo)
[3DS] The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (Nintendo)
[3DS] Pilotwings Resort (Nintendo)
[3DS] Steel Diver (Nintendo)

Nintendo VirtualBoy (21/07/95)
xx. [NVB] Mario's Tennis (Nintendo)
xx. [NVB] Teleroboxer (Nintendo)
xx. [NVB] Red Alarm (Nintendo)
xx. [NVB] Panic Bomber (Nintendo)
xx. [NVB] Galactic Pinball (Nintendo)

So these two are the only systems where nintendo didn't have a mario platformer available at launch ?

Hey, if the higher price gave the 3DS the graphics that Capcom's been pumping out of it, then it was worth it in my opinion.

Better question is, is this the only handheld that didn't have a Mario platformer at launch?

Like I said before, I'm shocked at the lack of Sunshine 3D!

Just realized that every Playstation system has Ridge Racer as launch title.

Looks like Other M is on course to sell its first shipment and pretty much nothing else. I suspect it will crawl to around 90k if its lucky, but breaking 100k is very unlikely.

Capcom finally decided to revice down FY earnings forecast.

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) announces on October 4, 2010 to revise the consolidated forecasts that were announced on May 7, 2010 for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011.

1. Revisions to consolidated forecasts

(1) First half of fiscal year ending March 31, 2011 (April 1, 2010 to September 30, 2010)

(Millions of Yen)
Code:
Net sales Operating income Ordinary income Net income
Previous Forecast (A) 45,300 4,800 4,700 2,900
Revised Forecast (B) 40,500 3,700 2,800 1,700
Difference (B) - (A) (4,800) (1,100) (1,900) (1,200)
Difference (%) (10.6%) (22.9%) (40.4%) (41.4%)
ended Sep. 30, 2009 38,892 5,574 5,476 2,967

(2) Fiscal year ending March 31, 2011 (April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011)

Millions of Yen)
Code:
Net sales Operating income Ordinary income Net income
Previous Forecast (A) 95,000 15,000 14,000 8,000
Revised Forecast (B) 91,000 13,000 11,000 6,500
Difference (B) - (A) (4,000) (2,000) (3,000) (1,500)
Difference (%) (4.2%) (13.3%) (21.4%) (18.8%)
ended March 31, 2010 66,837 5,587 5,530 2,167

2. Reason for the revisionIn the first half of the fiscal year, in the Consumer Online Games segment, there were strong sales of "Sengoku BASARA : Samurai Heroes", "MONHAN NIKKI POKAPOKA AIRU MURA" and other titles sold in Japan. However, there was a delay in the release of the major title "Dead Rising 2". In addition, the rapid increase in the yen's value relative to the U.S. dollar and euro has reduced sales and operating income. Furthermore, Capcom has been unable to offset the large shortfall in sales relative to the plan for the flagship title "Lost Planet 2" that was released overseas in the fiscal year's first quarter.

For these reasons, Capcom has reduced the forecasts for first half sales and operating income. In addition, due to foreign exchange losses associated with foreign currency-denominated assets and liabilities, first half ordinary income and net income are expected to be far below the previous forecast. The fiscal year consolidated forecast has been revised as shown above to reflect the effect of the yen's appreciation on sales and earnings.

* This forecast is based on information that was available on the announcement date of this release. Actual results may differ from this forecast for a number of reasons.

Agreed. I'll probably end up getting Star Fox and maybe even Zelda, but I want as many original titles as possible.

Pretty conservative Lord of Arcana shipment from Square Enix. I mean, I think it's a pretty realistic one, but I'm surprised just the same.

So the drop rate will continue to... drop ? 150k a week until end of November would be glorious.

My my, what a surprise. Zero no Kiseki outsold Okamiden. Didn't you refuse to classify it as a game with any significant impact? :lol

Judging from your predictions you didn't clarify it as a game with significant impact either.

Yes, but I didn't expect Okamiden to be either. They're all sub-100k games, like I said. :p

I should probably add that I will never ever even imply that Chris1964 is a "bitch" or anything of that sort. This is a sales-age thread, sometimes we're right, sometimes we're wrong, but it's all in good fun.

meh

The way hsukardi used it made it sound light-hearted. Then again, I may swear more often than you do. I regularly use "Fuck off!" as a replacement for "Shut up!" when in the right company.

These threads are never fun. They're scary scary places with numbers and arguing and crow serving. Terrifying!
