I'm going to guess a slight bump in Switch stock next week (~60k) and then a large shipment for Mario Kart in 2 weeks (100k+).

Yeah, looking like Switch really is 'it'. Hopefully Nintendo can capitalize on its appeal as a device and go in hard on software to make it a runaway success.

Can't help but be saddened that Vita's run is coming to an end, but at least it ended up doing a bit better than it initially appeared way back in 2012, lol.

It seems PS4 is not holding so well lately... what's the next big game releasing for the platform?

And how's the hold for MHXX? I'd say not so bad but now 2 million LTD (without a Best Price release) seems impossible to achieve.

Yeah the switch should be just fine for this year. Mario kart will come, later Splatoon 2 and Minecraft and (maybe ARMS), and it could probably be able to coast the rest of year on mainly just those.

Part of me was expecting Switch sales to drop negatively with such a long gap between Zelda and Mario Kart, but it seems like Nintendo has been able to keep that momentum.

Any sign of Switch stock on shelves, or are we still in the 'selling everything they get instantly' territory?

WiiU BOTW breaking 100k, I notice. I assume we're past 500k (across both platforms) now with download taken into account? Must be very close, at least.

All online retailers are still completely sold out and orders are not being taken. Nintendo's store will have some stock on the 21st, but that will probably sell out in minutes like usual.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
Looks like launching in March with enough of a lineup to drip out before the holidays is working out well for Nintendo so far.

Really happy to see Nier reach 300k as well.

For what it was set to do, MH XX is holding better than I thought it would. Switch better than expected, I think it will do around 55K next week and probably double that on MK8D week.

The Switch is going to be a tremendous success in Japan and probably worldwide.
It's such a cool product.
We're only in April.

This should stay a good year for Nintendo.

Switch launching well and not collapsing. 3DS still selling better YoY which is pretty crazy and Fire Emblem is yet to come. SNES Mini heavily rumored.

Hopefully they do the right thing and keep steady game releases up and get better even. And hopefully 3rd parties do the right thing too and release some software for their platforms!

Good for the Japanese games market either way.

So if the Switch sells another 40-50k week next week, and Nintendo ship 150k Switches for Mario Kart 8 week, and every Switch owner buys 1 copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, that should meet my 850k first week prediction. If BotW can have more than 100% attach rate in the US, fucking MK8 can do that in Japan.

So happy for Yoko Taro that Nier is doing so well. Dude's been putting in work for over a decade with this IP and finally has a good, strong hit worldwide.

3DS still having a good year despite going up against the Switch. Could even have a decent 2018.
