Haven't noticed it previously but it looks like Nintendo pacman is back - this time in the Switch form

PS4 is almost at 7 millions and it should be near 8 when year ends.

PS3 ended above 10 millions so it will depend how aggressive transition to PS5 is. But since Japan doesn't care that much about graphics I'd expect years of PS4/PS5 cross gen development by their developers.

So I'd say it's quiet likely it will outsell it few years from now.

I was betting that Splatoon 2 would be number 1 in all rankings.

Really good numbers for Switch hardware and software.

The only disappointment is Octopath Traveler which should have sold more but the stock issues are not helping

Currently it's about 400K ahead of PS3 launched aligned, so it's possible. Like the previous poster said it depends on how long it sticks around and whether it has good legs like the PS3 hardware. The PS4 started miserably in its first year to the point that the PS3 was selling better than it on some weeks.
