Media Create Sales: Week 34, 2017 (Aug 21 - Aug 27)

But would it be Japan-exclusive again like the PS3 version? Or will they remake the 360 version? I want it to happen so badly, but I feel like it's considered too much of a hazzle by Bamco unfortunately.

My money is on a port of Berseria (and maybe Zestiria as a complete tale collection or something).

People dont care about Zestiria and Berseria has been already out for a while...will be difficult to get fans to double dip for them. TotA was a solid seller early in the 3DS cycle and could have sold even more in Europe if they shipped more copies or put the game on the eShop...it was hard to get for months.

Whatever it turns out to be it wont be Japan exclusive, i think thats a given.

Looks like there are quite a number of titles announced this week.

[NSW] Garu Metal | DMM | February 2018

Neat, another rhythm game.

The game features scenario and supervision by Shuuhou Imai, character design and manga by Toshinao Aoki, and is executive produced by Tak Fujii. It has “hardcore metal” high school girls and is described as “sci-fi, yet juvenile” and “a music game, yet an adventure game.”

Garu Metal will debut at Tokyo Game Show 2017, which runs from September 21 to 24.

Only question is whether it will see an overseas release. If not, at least Switch is region free.

LOL.

It should release before march 31st, so TGS would be a logical Venus, but besides that there isn't any indication.
In their financial support they listed it and the Switch Taiko title for the current FY.
Ahh thanks! I guess it'll be announced in one of the Nintendo Direct presentations soon.

If there is a Tales announcement soon it won't be at a Direct. It would be in Bandai Namco's TGS blow out. Maybe next week in Famitsu?

I wouldn't trust them.

Bamco is publishing most of their console titles worldwide nowadays and adding Steam releases too - i wouldnt be worried about it.

If Tales of is multi i can see it being shown next week...if its exclusive they might have to wait for the Direct or whatever Nintendo has prepared with them.

I will not recognize the existence of Steam releases until they start releasing them here.

I'm kind of pessimistic about what Sony's managed to cobble together for their event on the 19th, so I could see them asking Namco to save unveiling a Tales remaster for that.

Obviously that be assuming the Switch game isn't something already available on PS4 or something they wouldn't bother releasing on it.

I can imagine a world where they would want to shove out a Vesperia remaster, especially given that it's the last game they didn't put out on PlayStation internationally, and the last time the series was positioned as a somewhat more notable entity overseas as well.

It would be a reasonable lead in to the Tales game that's dropping PS3 support, especially if they're switching engines and spending a bit more money a la a lot of their licensed games lately.

Mind, they could also not be doing that and simply porting Berseria to Switch as a lead in to releasing another Tales game that looks basically identical and is on the same tech stack with the same budget again.

They will announce a tales remake/remaster for switch and the next mainline tales for PS4 with a new updated engine and will release on PS4/steam in the west imo.

I would be down for a Vesperia remaster or (cellshaded 3D) Phantasia remake. Haven't really cared for Tales since Higuchi got stolen for Tekken/Soulcalibur/Smash, just give me the old ones.

I imagine they will move to Unreal Engine 4 for Tales eventually which means they could include Switch if they wanted(they won't).
