Anyone with a complete list of Musou expansions results, especially compared to the original releases?

This is the situation for Samurai Warriors 4-II, going by Media Create

02./00. [PS3] Samurai Warriors 4 # <ACT> (Koei Tecmo) {2014.03.20} (¥7.560) - 120.452 / NEW
09./00. [PSV] Samurai Warriors 4 <ACT> (Koei Tecmo) {2014.03.20} (¥7.140) - 39.597 / NEW

02./00. [PS3] Samurai Warriors 4-II # <ACT> (Koei Tecmo) {2015.02.11} (¥6.264) - 44.574 / NEW
05./00. [PSV] Samurai Warriors 4-II # <ACT> (Koei Tecmo) {2015.02.11} (¥6.264) - 23.519 / NEW
06./00. [PS4] Samurai Warriors 4-II # <ACT> (Koei Tecmo) {2015.02.11} (¥7.344) - 22.468 / NEW
Only could find these for now. 4-II replaces Xtreme Legends in Samurai Warriors 4.

[Wii] Samurai Warriors 3 - 121,182
[Wii] Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends - 22,598
[PS3] Samurai Warriors 3 Z (3+XL) - 208,548

[PS3] Dynasty Warriors 7 - 253,090
[PS3] Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends - 82,901

Looking at those XB1 numbers, one would wonder why Microsoft hasn't tried to make it more popular or simply discontinue it. Doesn't seem like it's even worth the effort to sell in Japan when it's doing less than 200 in a week.

I wonder when Japanese retailers will discontinue Xbone, unless Microsoft is actively paying for shelf space. Especially in Akihabara, where space is at a premium, devoting shelf space to Xbones instead of something that sells means you are losing a lot of money.

Man PS4 selling this good brings hope to the console market in JP, wow.
I wouldn't call it good, decent? Yes but good? No, at least it's selling 3x as much as Wii U is doing. Great numbers for the 3DS and Majorss Mask :3 Vita doesn't look to hot so far with 70k less than last year. Any big games, price drop or revision to boost sales?

It's a great start for MM3D, but the important thing will be the legs. OoT3D started much lower, but ended up with over 500k. ALBW had a similar opening to MM3D but only ended up with over 400k.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is out tomorrow + a couple of value packs, so it should get a decent HW bump in next week's thread.

3DS 2014: 472.521
3DS 2015: 473.744

Would not surprise me if 3DS is actually up yoy for first half of the year. Last years numbers were not that great until Youkai Watch 2 (it was battling against Vita during some weeks). During second half of the year it will be down yoy though because there will be nothing to replace the effect of New 3DS.

Vita has God Eater 2 RB releasing today with 2x new bundles and a P4 Dancing bundle at the end of June.

As for system selling software this year would probably be GE2RB, P4 Dancing in June, Kan Colle in May, and SaGa near the end of the year.

No news on a revision or price drop

The COMG tracking seems to indicate a continued pattern of PS3 bias among core gamers for Japan-centric titles. I think that remains the biggest concern for Sony in terms of making the PS4 take off.

Over the last week there have been dozens of comments on twitter from people saying they will buy Type 0 hd, then realize they can't because it's not on PS3 and they won't buy a PS4 :(

It's like people are surprise that someone is releasing a next gen only game.

They should stop releasing that many Musou games and concentrate on fewer, but more promising titles. There is a limit of games even Musou fans can buy in a short period of time.

As for the Ukiyo game on Vita, it sold more than PS3 version, as expected. Lol

Yeah, the same thing happened with PS3/PSV and at best it almost evened out. PS3 is already serving that demographic and apparently a large chunk of it deems PS3 good enough.
With that pattern, DQ probably won't push a ton of hardware (it already did with the SE console back in December). The interesting releases should be Bloodborne and Type-0. And even Type-0 is debatable I guess.

A price cut later in the year should help with that, but cross-gen games are an unfortunate anchor in PS4's quest for success in Japan and I don't see it changing for quite some time. It's a slow transition.

Next step: gimp the PS3 versions and put exclusive content on PS4.

Watch Amazon reviews go below zero.

The thing I'm most worried about is that if DQ11 is going to be on PS4 and announced this year, it will probably be on PS3 too :(

I know Bloodborne isn't the end-be-all, but it really would've been nice had it launched before DQ Heroes and other cross-plat Japan-centric big titles.

Momentum comes with the exclusive leading the charge, not so much with it at the end-tail.

I don't know why, but I thought immediatly about Tales of Zestiria after reading that. Don't know why, probably a mere coincidence.

Didn't know the Samurai Warriors 4 expansion came out recently. Although I guess that'd be because I'd wait for the English version anyway.

That doesn't bother me and I don't think it'd bother Sony.
Oh, I agree and would love to just have it on the big screen again. Would just have loved to have soon how much hardware it could push (if it happens) by cutting off PS3.

Do we know that DQ11 is going to be on console? I surely would prefer to see it in full PS4 glory, but wouldn't they be kind of throwing money away by not having it on 3DS? The gap in console sales is nothing to scoff at.

It's been debated a lot but suffice to say it's looking very likely to appear on (a) Sony console(s). That doesn't necessarily mean it's not on 3DS too but it's not to be expected.

EDIT:
They gotta make sure 2015 is Bomba year through and through amirite.

Maybe you'll be able to stream DQXI from the cloud on 3DS like you can with DQX. :p
Heh, I did joke in one of Shinra Tech threads that DQXI would be their first cloud killer app so Horii could play it on any screen he wanted.
