So, there's been several mentions of seeing other Spartan soldiers in campaign, but after seeing Johnson, I think it's clear that the UNSC has beefed up their personnel armor considerably. If that ain't some variant of MJOLNIR, it's definitely something similar in aesthetic design. Obviously we know no typical human can strut around in Master Chief's duds without being drawn and quartered by their own motion, but yeah, they've commissions some new bibs, fo sho.

I wonder what vehicles the map starts out with...

So far, I've seen a Brute Chopper, Warthog, Scorpion, Wraith, Banshee, Mongoose, and an Elephant.

Johnson looks awesome, and that bush fire/explosion behind the Chief right next to that pic looks sweet - we are seriously under-estimating the pure awesomeness of being able to load up a Saved Replay and grab a pic at any angle in direct feed 720p!

I suppose one could be confused if they don't know what Spartans (or the variations) look like.

Right, I'm saying that those sightings were the typical UNSC marine corps, all dressed up in brand new armor. If you were to see one in that suit Johnson's got on, with a helmet on, you could easily mistake them for a Spartan, especially if you aren't steeped in the franchise.

you can clearly see the hand, but as to what weapon this character is dual-wielding is hard to to tell. if I were to guess, I'd say it's a pistol.

Me neither. I figured you'd be shouting "BOXES" looking at the one Forge pic with a Spartan on top of a stack of boxes on High Ground (image 6, lower left).

With the talk a few pages back about the flame thrower, I'm wondering if Bungie is throwing us for a loop and rather than having a human flame thrower, going for a plasma type weapon, basically the fuel rod cannon ala the Hunters (a stream of green plasma snot instead of a lobbed snot wad like the fuel rod gun in Halo 2). Is the gun the EVA Spartan is holding just the Covie equivalent of a human chain gun, or could it possibly be Covie version of a flame thrower?
