Men, did you ever have earrings?

Started with one in grade 9. Rocked the shit out of the diamond ($10 cubic zirconia) like a lot of other white kids copying Eminem or sum shit. Whatever. Dropped the flash in grade 10 and got my other ear pierced and just went with normal smaller hoops. Think I took them out after a year or two and re-pierced them again soon after. Then took them out for good probably soon after highschool but I don't remember when exactly. Definitely think they don't suit most people older than mid 20's.

never
Piercings are for women

Yep, had both of mine pierced in high school. Hahaha, it's crazy because I never made a conscious decision to 'stop wearing them', but I haven't put them in what must be years now.

Had my left ear pierced back when I was in high school. Stopped wearing earrings in college. I still have my collection though, my GF like to wear them occasionally.

I wanna get both my ears pierced, the only thing stopping me is the pain.
(And the fear that my bird will think they are toys and rip them out one day)

It's considered very lower class as far as I know, here in Belgium, so no. I've seen manager types in Germany have them tho, but never here or in France.

Both ears is not done at all unless you want to be a pirate.

What I do see sometimes are those rings that make big holes in your earlobes. No idea what they are called, but boy does it look like something you'll regret later.

From what I recall it doesn't hurt, and I have incredibly low tolerance for pain, lol. Just a little sting. What you do have to be of mindful of, however, is the chance of infection. Especially during the first few weeks.

I had my left ear pierced in my eaarly teens, wore an earring for a couple of ears, haven't worn one in maybe 15+ years.

I have both my ears pierced with the intent of stretching them both. Currently just got a bar in each though.
That being said, I've been having terrible trouble healing. Been about a year since I had them pierced, but they still bleed occasionally.

It's really the same thing in Germany. So I don't know which kind of manager type would wear one.

Not sure what you guys mean by 'manager types', but most men in the States wouldn't/couldn't wear their earrings in a professional setting. Are you saying that even the piercing holes would be frowned upon in your countries?

I used to want both ears pierced. I figured I'd wear studs most of the time and some sweet DBZ fusion earrings on ocassion.

I wore small gold hoops/studs in the 8th grade, was thinking about getting my ears re-pierced. I thought they looked good enough.

Certainly glad I didn't follow some of my friends who got gauges, would have probably put any chance for nursing out. Lol.

Yeah two in the left ear and one in the right. Used to have golden rings like a pirate.

It was the nineties man!

Mid 90s, two sleepers in the left ear. One in the lobe, and later smaller one in top as well which was a DIY job with a safety pin. Hurt like hell. I rocked a battle axe for a while too, haha. Think I last wore the sleeper about 12 years ago.

I don't think piercings are aesthetically pleasing on basically anyone. The human body is (can be?) fucking awesome and beautiful and sexy. I don't understand why we would want to add cold, hard metal and rocks to it.

It's jewelry. No different than watches, necklaces, and rings. Only piercings go through your skin. When it comes down to it, they all fall under the category of jewelry. There's just a negative stigma behind piercings. It isn't like piercings are permanent. If you choose not to wear them anymore, the holes will close back up.

I wore earrings for a bit in high school, stretched them a bit, and then I took them out and let the holes close up. I don't wear anything now.

I kinda want those round black ones

you know like these (random pic):

what do you call those?

I had an eyebrow piercing when I was 14 like a punky asshole tho and now I have a big-ass scar

Fo sho. When I was 15 I was living in California and it seemed cool so I got a round stud. Shortly after, I moved to Maryland, just outside of DC, and started going to kind of a snotty private school. I was not allowed to wear it during the day but once in a while I would and some of the "cool" kids gave me shit. A few months later, I got tired of having to put the clear thing in during the day so I just left the stud out and never wore it again. A little later, all the "cool" kids suddenly started getting them, and I started giving them shit. Funny how that works.

Left ear pierced twice, right ear once, left eyebrow once.

I pierced my left ear twice by myself, using a pin. Had my right ear and eyebrow done professionally. When I did the eyebrow, it bled like crazy.

I used to wear an assortment of handmade earrings, including a blue, plastic army man, a classic razor blade, and a folded-steel cross that was waaay too heavy for my ear.

I did for a while in high school. Then one day someone asked to see my earring so I took it out and let them check it out, then when I went to put it back I couldn't find the exit hole at the back of my lobe so I made a new one. Later that day someone said "Dude, your ear..." It was all swollen and gross. I decided that was enough of that.

Aside from being forced to wear them as a baby which i am still extremely disappointed in both my father (rip) and my mother that they did that and my whole stance on babies and earrings is a argument for another time i never have. Back around 99-00 i wanted to get one but thankfully my boyfriend stopped me because i would of looked absolutely ridiculous.

yep, left ear pierced in the late 80s as a 10-12 year old.

jokes on me, the hole is still fucking there. never goes away. It's closed over, but there is a definitely still half a hole there. weird white stuff comes out if I squeeze it as well. gross. I wish I could punch my 10 year old self.
