Men In Black III teaser trailer

This has a really odd, TV-style quality to it. Is it because the use of 3D making sure everyone is centered in the frame?

Barry Sonnenfeld did this a lot in the previous Men in Black films. I don't know enough about 3D to know if that also has anything to do with it, but his shooting style shows a tendency to center his subjects. Here's a quote from his cinematographer on Wild Wild West:

"For example, his sense of framing is very different from what I would normally do. He likes to have the action or subject in the center most of the time, which doesn’t work well in 2.35. In widescreen, you have to fill the whole frame. It doesn’t make sense to have a close-up in the center of the frame and have nothing to the right or left."

I'm not usually a fan of this particular style (looks amateurish, like the way most people film their home movies) but its works for the quirky type of comedy the Men in Black films strive for. I believe he did this often in the Addams Family movies he directed, and it also worked well there in my opinion.

Wow. Not a fan of the second movie but(can't believe I'm saying this) this one actually looks promising. I loved the first one anyways.

He still looks almost exactly the same as he did in 1997.
Yeah, it's almost ridiculous how young they can make the man look with some makeup and non-white hair. Fucker doesn't age, we need a smith version of this;

As for MIB, looks good. Will watch for Will anyway, but the concept doesn't seem bad for what they have to work with.

This looks fucking COOL. A little hollow but I think that's cause of the trailer. The music around the end woke up the child in me and Brolin is gonna be an outstanding young K.

Looks alright, Like everyone else I laughed at the "he smiles like this line"

and the josh Brolin impression was pretty damn good.

Eh, Why not I'll go see it, just to hear that theme again.

While i didn't saw anything BAD in the trailer ... it was obvious that they only showed stuff from the first 10 minutes....

The alien grafitti was close to the "intelligent shade of blue" in terms of "awesome out of box thinking" ... but ... was just that. No "he was just sneezing" from the first movie =|

And Brolin is one of the most genial castings of all time

[/HUGE mib addict]

Didn't really give me hope that it'll survive the complete mess of a production, but atleast the actors aren't sleepwalking through it.

I wanted a look at Jermaine as the villain damnit.

It can't be any worse than the second film anyway...

Hopefully I don't regret saying that in six months.

They need to get History Channel aliens guy in for a cameo.

Edit: At least Sonnefeld is directing...though he did direct MiB2.

Are you trying to tell me that you don't like time travel?

BTTF is my movie of forever, but I just prefer the TLJ and Will Smith dynamic and have no idea how the Brolin/Smith dynamic will work. From the little snippet there after he traveled back in time it didn't look THAT funny, but time will tell.

MIB II from the first clip looked terrible they did a smart thing not showing anything until now this look good. MIB III:The Redemption hopefully.

I wanted a look at Jermaine as the villain damnit.

I think it was his voice on the other side of the phone.

''Well, what other secrets are there?''

Also am I the only one who thought the smile joke was cringe inducing? That was just about the only part I didn't really like.

Looks like an exaggerated mess just like the first sequel. Lots of weird CGI gags and Will Smith mugging for the camera. No thanks.
