But why doesn't Snake reach out to touch every rock he walks past?
I think you're probably joking. But if you're serious, that shit can get very annoying in Uncharted 3. Drake grabs a lot of air.

I disagree, there's no proper foot planting in Uncharted 3 at times. This wins everything I have seen so far. I thought we hit the ceiling with Max Payne 3, but nope. Here comes Lord Kojima, ready to blow everything away.
I hate this man. I love this man.
It looks brilliant, I'm gonna have to play 3 and Peace Walker before this comes out.
Kojima saved the Japan gaming industry once again.

I just noticed the wet floor is reflecting Snake's feet and the jeep's tires. Damn.
Fixed.
I'd be more inclined to believe that the footage is representative of how the console versions would look if it wasn't a multiplat.
We all know that miracles can happen with exclusives in the final years of a console's life. Look at Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 4 (okay there was a PS2 port of that one, but it was cut down significantly), God of War 2, Chronicles of Riddick, etc, from last generation. These sorts of things normally come from a developer exploiting every single trick in the book for a single piece of hardware.
Not trying to start a 'which console is more powerful than the other' debate, just saying that these sorts of technical miracles tend to only happen if you're developing for one specific hardware configuration.
More like: Please release it on the PC, Kojima. Plzkthxbai.I'd be more inclined to believe that the footage is representative of how the console versions would look if it wasn't a multiplat.

The cloth physics. It blew me away, and was the one thing that made the video look almost like a film at a few parts.

......that's a PS2-era effect dude.![]()
Can you show me an example?
in this state no.
if it was possible why...not...just...demonstrate...it...on....a....ps360??
the hardware is available now lol.
if they said, realtime on ps3 or 360,that would create bigger hype....
That and the random grabbing of walls as you're running was so annoying. Ugh. Looked terrible.I disagree, there's no proper foot planting in Uncharted 3 at times. Notice how sparse the grass sprites are. Current gen confirmed![]()
I just watched this
I'm going to need another beer
no
I'm going to need another six pack
Jesus, are the ellipses really necessary?
The game and engine are quite clearly in development, so I guess it makes sense to demo it on whatever hardware (in this case PC) you're making it on. Still, good to know I'm not alone in thinking this reaches quite a bit beyond what current gen consoles are capable of.
Yeah good ieda, I'm gonna stay up and keep repalying this.
who's to say that both console version will look equally good? Besides, last gen had a pretty big power gap between ps2 and xbox. A gap that doesn't really seem to be as big this gen.
Is this Big Boss or Solid Snake?

It's Big Snake.
Is this Big Boss or Solid Snake?
It's a cutscene, though, so the animation could be entirely pre-made, just like they did on the PS2.The cloth physics. It blew me away, and was the one thing that made the video look almost like a film at a few parts.

Calling it now: You will play both in this game.
