Am I the only one that thinks that now that MGS3 has been sharpened and smoothed, it doesn't look as good? This is the first time I've ever said this about an HD upgrade, but before, even if it was jaggie, it looked so good it almost could have been considered an early-gen PS3/360 title at SD resolution. Now it's like..."oh...looks like a typical PS2 title". Maybe it's just the rose-tinted glasses :(
 
Wow, they didn't do ANYTHING with the textures and change the foggy/filter out. :/ I mean it looks good but slightly lazy on that.

I'm curious how the Trans"farring" will work with PSP owners of MGS5. If I can have my S rank teams moved to the PS3 for achievement whoring, OMG YES.

It's funny because in my minds eye that's how I remember MGS 2 and 3 looking, and I only just replayed them both about 3.5 years ago.

Day 1 regardless as a super fan

Shit...knowing this is running at 60fps plus looking as gorgeous as it does makes me want more companies to create actual new software in this manner more often.

I've also now realized that a Resident Evil-themed Risk would also be appropriate
(Complete Global Saturation :P)

So I guess instead of different countries its the PMCs?
 
Umm... those screens are pretty spoilerific. Maybe you should add that to the title so the people who only played xbox anticipating this won't get spoiled?

But yeah, these look real good. All that's left that I desire is a trophy patch for MGS4. Please do it Kojima! :(

So listening to the recent Kojipro podcast ep.... and there's supposed to be some announcements/surprises at TGS from KP... but I really hope they weren't referring to the brief anime-scenes trailer for ZoE HD and the MGS HD Vita announcement.

No, it's because in the originals the game would go from normal, to widescreen in cutscenes, so now it's going from widescreen to scope, if you want it to.

N/Ico Collection does it too.

So True, I kept playing the game hoping that Snake would be playable again but it never happened... IS MGS2 going to be the substance version?
