I get what you're saying but the same sources that spoke of Scarlet also spoke of Anaconda and Lockhart so i don't see a reason to think they were just made up.

I didn't say they made it up, but maybe with the terminology Phil used they were too eager to find an answer for why he said that and in the process they came across some bad information which they ran with.

Fair enough. My theory is that Lockhart was going to be a die shrink of one X but that won't end up being financially ready so they will just go with Anaconda.

The streaming box will be your OG Xbox One, no need to sell another kit.

Yeah I don't get why anyone ever thought a streaming box was in development. Any Xbox console from the Xbox One forward will stream. Beyond that, your PC and phone/tablet will do it as well. We will probably see apps for Tvs and other devices. No need for a dedicated streaming box.

It may come to pass that it doesn't release in the end, however this is certainly not confirmation of that.

People seem to misunderstand what Project Scarlett is; it's a project...a code name. Scarlett is singular, but that doesn't mean its plan doesn't have a multi-pronged approach. The (single) project is very much two or more consoles; either at launch or one is coming shortly after the other, make no mistake.
