Microsoft's Battlefront Marketing (Its both clever and subtle)

Lol that's pretty good. I'm sure someone will find it distasteful or get annoyed by it and that might actually make it better. Still getting the PC version but nice ad.

Microsoft is a bit sad. They started this esclusive marketing deals. And then, when Sony does them, they pull this sad things out, like the destiny one. Lol

Is there any exclusive content on one platform or the other? Trying to decide between, er, light side or dark side, or something.

I'm pretty sure EA doesn't mind MS advertising a service that is exclusive to the Xbox One.

it's the fact Greenberg's image directly refers to the game and about it being first on Xbox One which could very well be in violation of Sony's exclusive marketing agreement

If you guys think about it, and because you aren't big Star Wars fans like me you could miss it.

They aren't implying Darth Vader and Storm Troopers, its about the good and bad side of the "Force".

The good side is the "light" and the evil side is the "dark".

lol wtf is so sad about this? making people aware that this game is also coming out on Xbox One?

Nope.

Don't see why people make a big deal about this, the console that will benefit most console sales wise is ps4 and not xbox due to the bundle.

Nope.

Did you read my post?
Its' sad that they started this things, and then can't deal whit it if sony does that. I don't see sony breaking the "rules" with this childish things.

Edit: i mean Can you do marketing for a game? Do it. Can't you do it? Shut up.

Aaron Greenburgs Twitter Profile pic is him looking like a Wookie and it's advertising "First on Xbox with EA Access" written right across his Twitter Profile pic...

Major Nelson created that Star Wars spoof video..

The stuff in the OP is more of the same...

Yeah, Microsoft is trying pretty hard to associate themselves as much with Battlefront as possible, despite Sony's exclusive marketing rights...

MS started it? Marketing deals have been happening since BEFORE MS got into the console market dude, this isn't new. It's extremely clever is what it is.

I missed the whole Destiny thing and I am well aware of the oodles of love that NeoGAF has for MS, but I am literally beside myself that people are genuinely angry at this. Honestly, I can't even fathom it, lol.

Anyone even think that MS is allowed to market EA games because of EA access?

Well I don't see anything wrong with MS advertising BF for the Xbox One in their own unique way. As long as they don't break any rules, then what's the big fuss?

How is it even possible to be salty about this?

Is it though? I'd call it pathetic and desperate to be honest, just turns me off the Xbox brand even more seeing stuff like this, a clingy child that didn't get invited to the party but still tries to front they're with it by hopping the back fence.

It's like Spencer and Greenberg aren't in the same company, one says 'Forget console wars.' the other says 'Fuck you.' It's gauche marketing at best.

I could count on a few fingers the number of people in this thread that appeared upset...A large majority of this thread is a few jokes, some people pointing out the ad doesn't really make sense story wise, other examples of this, etc...

But genuine anger? I think your exaggerating

Oh man :) The posts in this thread are amazing. I've didn't know things had gotten this tepid on the gaming side.

The ad is pretty nice but I'd say that about anything with the Elite in it. I need a new controller for my PC but I can't get myself to pay $150 for that sexy beast. I'll continue wait till the price comes down significantly.

Good to see poor little Microsoft sticking it to the bully boy tactics of Sony.

It's neither clever nor subtle btw.

There is nothing subtle or clever about this. It's straight marketing for Battlefront on Xbox ONE, The All in One Entertainmentsystem by Microsoft also running Windows 10 (soon).

Thanks for this man, got a good laugh out of me.

All this is is good/clever marketing by a company who doesn't have a marketing agreement. The fact you are so affected by it makes me laugh.

Two posts above you. Haha.

He's saying the truth though. Microsoft PR sucks, because they can't send a straight message.

I really don't get how these deals work....

Did Microsoft receive a letter from Disney/Sony/EA, that they are not allowed to mention the Product they are going to sell at their store?
