Now that I saw the video ...That gif needs to be about 2 seconds longer just to show that he continues to sing after knocking 2 (or more) people down. Him singing while on the floor just made me laugh even more.

No, Miguel is actually great. Not even remotely similar to Usher. Surprised so many people don't know of him. Kaleidoscope Dream was one of the best albums of last year. But if you can't appreciate R&B then it's not gonna be your thing.
