Have they ever added a way to post screenshots for your games that don't support Miiverse? Like, say, Project X Zone, which doesn't have a community, but I want to be able to post a shot and then pull it off the web version.

It seems like I should be able to, since screenshots on the 3DS Miiverse occur on the OS level and there being an official community of them shouldn't have any bearing on whether or not I can, say, post them somewhere for myself to get off the web.

I know you can do that with Wii U games - I managed to upload screens of the Yakuza HD & Sonic Lost World demos before the community was active, but directly via the web browser, not through Miiverse. With 3DS, unless there's a community, I guess there's really know way to, though, which sucks.

It's such an easy and logical way to get free marketing for your game that I am shocked it isn't there for everyone yet.

When I took Bravely Default shots and posted them places, people fucking loved them and it sold them on the game. That some games don't support this (and some do it willingly, like MH3U) is madness.

All I was doing was explaining what might have compelled them to implement this change. I'm personally not bothered by comments on Sakurai posts that I would feel the need to turn them off entirely.

Back when the Wii U was released, I drew a picture of a zombie in the ZombiU community and it was removed because it contained 'violent content'. Funnily enough it was eventually put back but yeah, the mods can get a little overzealous/stupid at times.

The looks of your profile have changed too, with the default of showing "profile" first (your country of residence and the text you wrote about yourself etc etc), and with the option to show "activity" (posts you made by default with the option to choose the yeahs you've given) and "Connections" (friends as default witht he option to choose the people you're following and your followers).

The second part says that you can now give yeahs to comments within posts.

I don't understand the point of 'yeahing' comments?

It's just going to fill up your Notifications faster. Why can't Nintendo give us the option to decide what counts as a notification, or maybe let us have more than 20 unread notifications at a time?

Yup, it was 200 before. Limit was increased a few months after Miiverse was launched, and stayed at 200 since then.

10 character limit was horribly brief. 200 was the sweet spot for me. Plenty of room to express a literate, constructive comment and the length of posts read well on my activity list. 400 is just inviting garbled, rambling rants that unnecessarily clog a page. But hey, it is what it is.

The posting delay reduction is very welcome. Two minutes might just be the perfect balance between preventing spam but allowing shift consecutive submissions.

I love how Miiverse has evolved over time. It's such a fantastic feature. Wish Nintendo would hurry up and get more community backlog cleared. Couldn't believe it the other week when I realised Gunman Clive and Fractured Soul don't have communities yet. Especially GC, which Ninty themselves have championed.

Hi guys, i need some help. SInce a couple of weeks, Miiverse is either insanely slow, or just won't even load properly/at all. My e-shop and everything else works fine, it's just Miiverse. I've been thinking it was due to Mario Kart slamming the servers, but other people aren't having the problem. I never had this problem before, didn't change any settings, didn't change anything on the router, but now i'm trying to connect directly from my modem's WLan, and still no dice. Miiverse has worked perfectly for 18 or so months, but now i can't even check if someone sent me a message or see what people are talking about. I have to check miiverse on my laptop for that. It's very annoying. Is it because of the update? It's been since around that time, but i'm not 100% sure, since it was about the same time MK8 launched, and i didn't touch my WiiU for a week or two.

Does anyone else have the same problem? (PAL territory here, B)

I'm in PAL territory as well. I haven't checked Miiverse that regularly but the times I did (and right now), it worked flawlessly.

1) They changed the way Yeahs are displayed in your Activity Feed. Now you see a "This user yeahed this post!" above a post yeahed by a friend.

2) You can now chose not to get notifications when you gets Yeahs, by going to the Miiverse settings.

3) they apparently changed the design of the web version, for the My menu thing. Closer to the Wii U version, apparently. 3DS version design for that was also changed to resemble the PC version.

4) Looks like you can now embed Miiverse posts on websites/blogs/etc...

Also, this is kind of a nitpick, but I hate that in the Systems Owned section of someone's profile if that person owns a 3DS it lists it as "System in the Nintendo 3DS Family". Just say "Nintendo 3DS", geez!

Well, I did specify it's for websites/blogs. And honestly, I don't think there's any sort of embeds on GAF, is there? Outside of pics (and YouTube videos for the mobile version).

I believe those were explicitly added in, so if there's demand I would imagine they'd consider Miiverse embedding. That said, I'm not sure how much demand there is, nice though it'd be.

I thought the web based profile looked different today but I didn't really think about it.

As for embedding, GAF once tried having Twitter embedding and it basically brought the site to a crawl so it was disabled soon afterwards (Twitter tags still work but they just produce a link rather than embedding) so I doubt they'd do it for Miiverse.

Miiverse seems faster. I just pinged miiverse.nintendo.net. Before the update I had a ping of around 200 ms, now it's 120 ms. The activity feed loads way faster than before.

I still don't understand why I have to connect to a server in the US. Nintendo uses AWS for Miiverse, and Amazon has many servers all over Europe.
