The recent increase in security at a key Army base near a Mexican border city where Islamic terrorists are confirmed to be operating and planning an attack on the United States indicates that the facility is a target, according to senior military experts contacted by Judicial Watch.

Last week JW reported that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is working in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources confirmed to JW that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued. Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.

Juarez is a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas. Ft. Bliss is the Army’s second-largest installation, spanning more than 1 million acres with an active duty force of 34,411 and headquartered in El Paso. Two days after JW broke the story on ISIS operating in Juarez, Ft. Bliss announced it was increasing security measures. A statement that went out to the media was rather vague, attributing the move to several recent security assessments and the constant concern for the safety of military members, families, employees and civilians.

But senior military officials contacted by JW this week reveal that military installations in the U.S. only make changes to security measures when there are clear and present threats. “It’s a significant issue when this is done,” says retired Army Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, former commander of the Army’s elite Delta Force who also served four years as Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. “That means they’re getting a threat stream. Ft. Bliss had to have a clear and present threat.”

The inaccuracies to the public appear to be part of a broader effort by the Obama administration to downplay the bloodshed that has long plagued the southern border and now the imminent threat of Islamic jihadists planning a strike as the 13th anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil approaches. Remember that Obama’s first Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano, famously proclaimed that the border is as secure as it’s ever been even as organized syndicates took over portions of the region, smuggling drugs, humans, weapons and money into the U.S.

Back in 2010 a veteran federal agent disclosed that the government was covering up the growing threat by Middle Eastern terrorists entering the country through Mexico. The U.S. Border Patrol classifies them as OTM (Other Than Mexican) and many come from terrorist nations like Yemen, Iran, Sudan, Somalia and Afghanistan. The feds call them SIAs (Special Interest Aliens) and the government doesn’t want Americans to know about them or that ISIS is operating adjacent to a major American city. “ISIS is working with the drug cartels,” confirms retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, who’s regularly briefed by high-level contacts in the region. Besides Ft. Bliss, Maj. Gen. Vallely believes another Texas Army base, Ft. Hood, is also a target for Islamic terrorists.

As we all know, Ft. Hood was already attacked by a radical Army psychiatrist (Nidal Malik Hasan) who murdered 13 colleagues and wounded dozens of others as he chanted “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great in Arabic). Hasan had ties to a radical mosque leader (Anwar al Awlaki) who promotes jihad against the U.S., attempted to contact Al Qaeda associates prior to the attack and defended Islamic suicide bombers in comments he posted on the internet.

Hundreds of miles across the Lone Star State, geography makes Ft. Bliss an exceptionally big target at the moment, JW’s military experts say. For starters it’s a sensitive compound that sits near a notoriously porous border adjacent to a Mexican city long run by heavily armed drug cartels. As the anniversary of 9/11 approaches and ISIS establishes itself in Juarez, there’s no question the El Paso Army base is vulnerable, military experts told JW this week.

“Given how easy it is to cross the border terrorist can easily cross it,” Lt. Gen. Boykin said. “We’ve known for some time that terrorist elements have entered the U.S. through Mexico. This is nothing new.” Actually, Islamic terrorists are likely planning multiple attacks in the border region, including perhaps malls and power grids, according to Maj. Gen. Vallely, who assures that the cells are quite sophisticated. “They are well organized and well-funded,” he said.

The fact that they tried to tie it in with the crazy shooter from years ago is a little...weak.

Seriously why can't these crazy sites get more legit names? Judicial Watch? Really?

there are tons of articles on google news stating this and it was reported on kfi 640 am on my drive home from work

Every "source" I've seen has been from a similar site as the one in the OP, Tea Party News Network, conservativetribune, etc.

All with lovely comments like this:
IF ANY TERRORIST ATTACK COMES OUR WAY OBAMA SHOULD BE REMOVED BY ANY MEANS AVAILABLE,PERIOD.WE HAVE BIN SET UP FOR IT!!!!!!!

yes, very reliable source

You couldn't find a NYT, NPR, ABC, NBC, FOX article about it?

Using your local news station and a news site you found on your Facebook feed is not a legitimate news source. Especially when it comes to fear mongering shit like this.

My local news reported this story. Judicial Watch is a conservative government watchdog group. In the article, Judicial Watch cites themselves as a source despite the fact that the FBI and DHS said there's no threat of ISIS over the border. They give no details of their surveillance nor do they say how they obtained the information other than radio traffic. Apparently they know something that the spy capital of the world doesn't know. Bunch of fucking lunatics.

Just what the Mexican drug cartels want, a reason for the US military to cross the border. It's the perfect plan!

Here's what Fox's story includes, by the way...

Social media chatter shows Islamic State militants are keenly aware of the porous U.S.-Mexico border, and are “expressing an increased interest” in crossing over to carry out a terrorist attack, according to a Texas law enforcement bulletin sent out this week.

It notes no known credible homeland threats or specific homeland attack plot has been identified. That assertion was underscored by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, who said Friday that DHS and the FBI are "unaware of any specific, credible threat to the U.S. homeland" from Islamic State.

Despite assurances that no threat to American soil is imminent, the watchdog group Judicial Watch said Friday that Islamic State operatives are in Juarez, just across the border from Texas, and are planning to attack the United States with car bombs.

Their article states that they've expressed interest in coming in through the Mexican border on social media according to the Texas Department of Public Safety based on the information in the FOX News article.

That's like saying Jimmy may have a kegger in his backyard because he's been thinking about it for a while.

First time I hear of ISIS or a Muslim terrorist group in Mexico. I really doubt it's true...

I thought the cartels worked together with groups like this for decades now?

I should have not responded to this dumb ass report, when I originally clicked it the site was not loading.

I love this trick they report on a report about a report on a national media arm and then the blog reports the reporting of the original report to show legitimacy.

My aunt would listen to kfi when we used to carpool. I seem to remember Bill Handel being the more reasonable of the shows. John and Ken are pretty crazy, but they are especially perturbed about illegal immigrants.

Just think a bit. Why would the narcos work with Muslim terrorists?
Yea how would an extremist work with gang members that may be catholic-lite? lol.

I know some people are gonna eat this shit up. My boss said one time "did you know muslims enter through the border" and I was like you got to be fucking kidding me with this dude. He was talking about ISIS in Iraq and how Israel should just nuke the whole middle east. He made this comment to insinuate that extremist muslims like Obama enter the US through the border.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Which is the exact reason why Juarez has been known to have incredible amounts of violence and El Paso hasn't, despite the significant gang and cartel presence there. The cartels know better than to do anything that would provoke the United States into taking action against them.

ISIS is not known for their particular high monetary resources. I doubt they offer a comparable amount than what the narcos would lose with increased militarization of the frontier.

Didn't they loot like half a billion dollars from Iraqi banks as they were tearassing across the country?

It's bullshit like this that get the masses whipped up and put Republicans back in the driver seat. Ugh.

It's just wild rumors that pop up here and there. I remember after 9/11, there were rumors that cocaine was being laced with anthrax. Why would they want to kill off their consumers?

Little Juaritos, in the news for the wrong reasons. Been a while since I have been out there.

Based on internet chatter, I once viewed NPR as some right wing propaganda station until I started listening to it and hearing unbiased, multi-viewpoints and mkre often thwn not, people in the entertainment industry or scientists giving interviews during their fresh-air segment at lunch time (12pm). What's the deal?
