I think someone posted some details earlier and it was 2-8 players online?
PS3 and Vita are cross buy and can move worlds between the two.
PS4 is a $5 upgrade from these versions.
Their line of reasoning is that the Vita version is based off the PS3 version of the game (So it doesn't have all the upgrades the PS4 version has) so if you buy the PS3 version, the Vita version is free and buying the PS4 version won't net you the Vita (PS3) version.

Anyone with it currently that's managed to get their ps3 world's transferred? I've got mine uploaded to online storage but ps4 minecraft is telling me it can't find them.

Got the PS3 version in anticipation for the upgrade and Vita version. It's a messy system though, I'd be upset if I just bought the PS4 version and wanted the Vita one later on.
I just hope they won't wait too long before making it feature parity with the next big PC release.. or is it already? Since PC is now nearing 1.8..

That's why i'm waiting a week to buy Destiny. I'm pretty sure first week will be hell with connection issues, bugs and a lot of patches :/

A physical copy won't help you, if the GAME servers are getting hammered. Destiny is all online. And your physical copy will take a while to install, while we preloaded digital kids are already playing!

They should have maybe made it a $5 "upgrade" in BOTH directions instead of just one. It really fucks the Vita owners who purchase the game on PS4 first.
It should have been:
1. Buy the game on PS3 or Vita and pay $5 to upgrade to PS4 version.
2. Buy the game on PS4 and pay $5 to upgrade to gain the Vita and PS3 version.
Option two is what's missing and they don't make the crossbuy clear enough in their stores to prevent people from messing that up.
Unless the PS4 is already $5 more expensive? Then maybe buying the PS4 version should automatically give you all 3 versions.

I bought the PS3 version as soon as I learned it would be cross-buy on Vita just so that I could also get the PS4 version for $5. But if I didn't know how that was going to work beforehand I would be ticked if I ended up paying $40 for what should be $25 either way.

Yeah same here. Though I'm in the US and I downloaded with my UK account and then played it with my US account. lol. I didn't think they'd screw up so badly they'd give the game away for free. Just thought I'd check it out. Really doesn't look any different from the PS3 version to me. But I love the Dualshock 4 so much and being able to use the share feature adds more fun.
Agreed. I also bought the game on PS3 and messed around exactly for your same reasons. But we're in the know and I bet there's going to be plenty of people who get it wrong.

What's this a soft launch or something I had no idea.
It's the exponential increase in land size that makes the PS4 a real upgrade. Not much else. Except maybe some touchpad integration. It's just too bad MS and Sony can't relax their save game size policy on PS360/Vita so that they could also get that landmass size upgrade. Seems really shitty that my iphone version of the game has WAY bigger land size than the PS3 version.

lel it's not because of save files PS3/X360 litterally can't handle a bigger world CPU is to weak.
It's actually a RAM problem exacerabated by split-screen.
