Americans stop projecting your culture on the rest of the world.
This is a case of the rest of the world using elements from our culture. Everyone's culture has been shared with others in the world because of how information moves and is accessed. But blackface is simply offensive because of how OTT it is. Blackface in america is offensive because of more than just how OTT the makeup is but because the imagery is normally associated with a large number of negative stereotypes back in the day.
The problem stems from it being included in hollywood production and various media, which has then since been transmitted across the globe and most likely influenced others in different countries without realizing the source of it. Blackface isn't really racist. It doesn't embody hate, it embodies ignorance. And sometimes ignorance is just as bad as hate.
