Mirror's Edge 2 pops up on Amazon Italy now

Sheeeesh!

This forum would have you believe that like EVERY OTHER GAME coming out is Xbone exclusive.

Its getting ridiculous folks.

The reasoning behind it is that MS are in a much better position financially to buy up third party exclusives, whereas Sony aren't in a position to splash the cash.

Plus, Sony have long established and incredibly robust first party studios, so any reliance on third party titles would be lower by default.

This is one bitter thread, and nothing is even confirmed yet. Every XB1 exclusive game that pops up at E3 is going to have some messy threads here, lol.

Mirror's Edge 2 with Kinect controls is a mistake.

This control scheme will be nothing but disappointment on kinect.

Where did you play the game?

Everyone here is assuming it is Kinect only controls which would be highly unlikely. It would most likely be controller controls with some Kinect usage such as voice or gestures to open doors etc.

Well it's about as logical as assuming it's Xbox exclusive because Amazon listed it twice.

Someone saying they're not interested in the game if it's Xbox One exclusive is not bitterness. It's just a statement being made about the situation.

What situation is that exactly? I really don't think any of the DRM stuff MS is offering or I read on here would hamper 99.9% percent of GAF. Its all a matter of whats, ifs, and buts with the arguments and you guys are running away with it like a couple of buffoons. Its not that fucking serious.

What happens to all your Xbox One games when Microsoft's servers aren't there to authenticate in 10, 15, 20 years? They're worthless. All the games you bought don't work.

Why do I have to have a Kinect camera hooked up to my console in order to use it? What if I don't want this honking camera mucking up my entertainment center?

These are valid questions, and for me they're enough to say I won't be buying that console. It's that simple.

There are no "what ifs" anywhere in my response. Those are facts.

This is especially noteworthy when there is likely going to be a competing console that requires neither of those things from me.

Please world, don't let ME2 get X'Boned.

.

Seriously, I looooooooove ME, my favorite game of last gen, but if it's exclusive to a console that has more going against it than for it for me as a gamer... I might just cross my fingers for an eventual PC version (which is what I'd prefer anyway). Unless of course MS and EA mass-appeal it to death by turning it into essentially Brink, in which case they can have it.

And before someone says MS will be around awhile, a lot of their services aren't.
I mean, let's go to Hotmail.com. Oh wait, that's Outlook now. What about MSN Messenger? I mean, Windows Live Messenger? I.. oh, that's gone. What about Windows Live Mesh? Those servers are all gone, too.
And that doesn't touch on their abandoned Win7 hardware, or the Kin.
The original Xbox servers are taken down, too. Regardless of the reasons, it's only a matter of time.

I thought that EA had an agreement with MS and Sony to disallow used games. But it looks like EA has an exclusivity agreement with MS in place, so my hope is Sony is not forced to implement used games blocking. If Sony follows MS AND let themselves get screwed over on 3rd party games, well then, good luck Sony.

Guys I'm holding a round the clock prayer vigil from now til E3 for Mirror's Edge 2 not to be released on Xbone.

You can pray to God, Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Mark Cerny, whoever you believe in most, we just need some positive vibes to shatter these horribly harsh divine judgments against the gaming community. Who's with me?

Almost positive this wouldn't matter. 10? 15? 20 years? really?

This is a preposterous complaint because the kinect is pivotal for the console. Why does/should the kinect bother you? Did you not buy a wii sensor bar?

the ps4 eye is likely to be mandatory fyi.

Anyway, to each their own.....I'll never pass up a console because of little nitpicks like that...nor would I choose to shun a console before seeing games. :/

All of those services migrated to the next though.

I'm not sure about xbox live 10 or 15 years from now but only time will tell.

Uhhh, what?

Check his post history.

People do still play their twenty year old Super Nintendo games.

what I'm saying is that technology today with cloud, faster internet speeds, and so fourth will only get more advance. And who to say that live won't still be around to verify?

Lol please don't come out on XB1! I can never game again if it comes out on XB1!

Do you guys hear yourselves? Are you gamers or not? WTH.

Weird that it only shows up for Xbox One and on EU Amazon only. EA EU offices let it slip? Maybe they did pay for exclusivity. The first game wasn't a super mega success story sale wise so it was probably cheap to get. Even then, with MS it seems like it is often timed exclusivity. Ninja Gaiden 2 and Mass Effect came to the PS3. Dead Rising came to the Wii. Alan Wake came to the PC and so on. Not sure why you are all having meltdown over this to be honest.

I predict another Bayonetta 2 or FFXIII coming to 360 thread in a near future by reading this thread.

Yup, really. Videogames are not consumables for me, like food, where I eat them and then they're gone. I still play some of my favorite games of all time here and there, and the idea of them just being rendered unusable one day is unacceptable.

How about them being rendered unusable one day if my internet is down for a day or more? That's unacceptable.

The Kinect is "pivotal" because Microsoft says it is. Not because it's truly necessary for me to play Call of Duty. I don't just swallow whatever Microsoft feeds me. Them saying something is important isn't enough for me to junk up my living room with their big camera.

Did you not buy a wii sensor bar?

The Wii sensor bar? Have you noticed a difference in the size of the Wii sensor bar and the Kinect camera for Xbox One? Here is a hint. One of them is about 20 times the size of the other.

As far as Sony requiring the camera. There isn't a single reason to believe this is going to be true. Not even one. I'd bet anything this will not be the case.

Anyway, to each their own.....I'll never pass up a console because of little nitpicks like that...nor would I choose to shun a console before seeing games. :/
When someone realizes the starting rules are a joke, the games become irrelevant. I'm not playing by Microsoft's ridiculous rules. No thank you. Not interested.

Mirror's Edge I bombed hard, it would be silly to make it exclusive for any system.

It was released at the wrong time. Releasing a game like that in November was a dumb move on EA's part.

It was basically sent to die. It reviewed well across the board and at last count has sold decently enough. It deserves a second chance.

If it has been given a sequel I'll be happy.

I think ME1 was far away from being perfect but I wouldnt mind to see them try another one.

perfection means nothing.
me had flaws, several even, but had more and better ideas than most games I played this gen.
if it's xbone exclusive...damn.
I understand what Microsoft means when they say '(yep, we're raping you, but) you'll still pick an xbone (no matter how much you hate the idea)'
