Crocop will still get the biggest pop at UFC 137. It's crazy but the fans always go nuts when he fights.
That's because he's still awesome. Just not an awesome fighter anymore.

I'm glad Tito didn't take the fight and I wish the short-notice replacement trend would stop. Fighting after less than half of a proper camp - much less a few days - is a recipe for disaster, sometimes even for the guy who got his opponent switched (Rick Story). I've heard post-fight interviews recently (can't remember who it was off-hand) where guys said they hadn't watched their opponents' last fights...that's probably the very first thing I'd do.

edit: Fighters Only talked to Machida's wife, who says he's not taking the fight, possibly due to not being guaranteed a title shot if he wins.

You guys need to give up on Crocop. Not gonna happen. Get ready for his cut after this.

I remember a great example from the last UFC event that this is a sport where anything can happen... something about Tito... crazier things have happened!

As for that reffing debacle... my god, is he that blind??

Crocops skills aren't gone, but his chin is. One hard connection on the jaw and he is out. arolosky, Liddell, axe muderer, etc...once that chin is gone, and your lights go out easier, I don't think you can ever come back from that. The losses just start piling up.

Interesting that they refer to his wife as manager and it was she who cleared this shit up. I guess he's not managed by Ed Soares anymore either. First Dos Santos, now possibly Machida. Black House falling apart?

Would I be wrong in saying that Gonzaga kicked the aggression and fire (and high kicks) out of Cro-Cop?
I dunno, he didn't look very impressive against that scrub they fed to him on his UFC debut either, although I guess he won by tko. I don't even remember that guy's name.

I don't expect a LHK from Mirko, but I think he has a good shot at winning this. Nelson has a power right hand, but he's not had success with it when facing good strikers (And he fought Schaub when he was still green). Nelson doesn't have as strong takedowns as Schaub either. Leg kicks and straight punches should make this a tough one for Big Country..

He wasn't even impressive against the random guy they found in Australia who fought on a few days notice.

I just wish Cro Cops last fight is a legacy fight. I don't want to see any TUF guys KO him while he clearly has no business fighting the young guys anymore. Same with Wandy. Leban is not worthy of a win over Wandy at all, no matter how far hes fallen. Vitor would have been a worthy name for Wandys last fight.

so wtf is the deal with the ufc 133 main event god dammit

tito turns it down, machida takes it, then he turns it down, then tito tweets some cryptic shit but still says hes not taking it and now.... nothing

I'm gonna be rooting for Tito so hard

can't stand Rashad

Dana probably offered Tito a fuckload of money for this and a guarantee that he wouldn't be cut if he lost.

With the way things are going, Rashad will lose via TKO, the Jones/Ortiz and Ortiz become LHW champ...and I have to see his stupid face another 5 years in the UFC

I expect Tito to use his newfound K-1 level striking to rock Rashad, then he'll double leg slam him for the KO, Evan Tanner style.

Ed Soares explanation is that he's currently busy in Rio de Janeiro with some other fighters so somebody else is in charge of negotiations.

Oh I get it... they can't communicate in long distances to do negotiations because Brazil doesn't have phones, let alone computers.

Chael was actually right.

Dana is the biggest troll in MMA easy.

how can you help but root for Tito now? of course, he'll lose and we'll all go home disappointed.

i cant believe they make a dime off of some of these PPV events.
