He's going to do the same thing GSP does to strikers. So I better hear you bitching about Lay n Pray.

lol, if that fight hits the ground diaz is going to submit him. diaz ain't no points fighter.

I'm a huge Super Diaz Bros fan but I can't disagree with poly's analysis of the fight. Nick has the lowest fight IQ of pretty much any top tier fighter.

Diaz really should try and take the fight to the ground, Daley is one of the best strikers in the division and it would be foolish to try and out-strike him.

I wish Nick would stop wasting the prime of his career in the black hole wasteland of obscurity that is Strikefarce.

I agree Diaz is going to stand with him. Until he gets rocked a few times, then he will try to take him down, fail, pull guard, and then submit him.

I agree with this except for the part where Daley stuffs a takedown.

So much MMA coming up...UFC Live on Versus 3 tomorrow then Bellator 35 and Feijao vs. Henderson overlapping each other on Saturday.

Ya, I'm not sure about that either.

I know, I was just looking that the google MMA calendar. Lots of good stuff coming up!

The only reason he is IN the prime of his career is because he's in Strikeforce. They have seemingly done everything in their power to keep wrestlers away from him. You'd think they would have tried putting Joe Riggs against him since, y'know, Riggs already has a victory over Diaz from the UFC days. And then there's Jay Hieron who was inexplicably CUT from Strikeforce altogether. If Diaz somehow gets past Paul Daley, he is in for a wrestlefucking courtesy of Tyron Woodley unless they decide to keep him away from Diaz as well.

You guys had me at former bantamweight champ Brian Bowles.

And I'm ignoring your hateful propaganda, poly
cause I don't disagree with it

i'll be honest the only wrestler i enjoy at the moment in mma is ben askren.

i wish amateur wrestling was more lucrative so all these guys wouldn't ruin the sport.

only wrestlers i don't like are the ones who try to act like flashy cocky badasses when they're anything but. read pray & lawal (when not fighting cans)

unfortunately the commissions won't be :(

It's amazing how in 2011 commissions can watch guys get sliced up with elbows and KTFOed into oblivion but still think knees to the head are too brutal. Damn you Jeremy Horn.

So, it looks like Strikeforce will be bringing out the big guns for the next Heavyweight GP event which is now set for June 18th in Dallas:

Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum
Josh Barnett vs. Brett Rogers
King Mo vs. TBA
Gina Carano vs. TBA

Fix'd. Looking forward to it though. Seriously the layoffs that Strikeforce's top fighters take are fucking ridiculous sometimes.

You've lost all lay and pray bitch rights. Askren is just as bad as everyone you constantly badmouth.

So Sonnen is now calling out Bisping.
I would so love to see Bisping knock him the hell out to happy happy roid land.

NoDQ.com > UFC > Sonnen requests fight with Bisping

Former number one middleweight contender Chael Sonnen reportedly sent UFC matchmaker Joe Silva the following e-mail to request a fight with Michael Bisping:

To: Joe Silva, Matchmaker Extraordinaire, Ultimate Fighting Championship
Re: Spitsbing & his tainted victory

Joe:

If you get a chance to talk with him, please mention to your idiot-in-residence Michael Spitsbing it'll be a little tougher to knee ME in the head when I'm charging at him like a runaway train and mincing him through the fence like a boiled potato, should we ever have the pleasure of each other's company for a few (VERY few) moments in the Octagon.

Oh; and I'd suggest to him being a little careful about spitting on any of MY cornermen, since any one of them can beat him up as badly as I can. Thanks ever so much.
Hope all is well.

-Chael Sonnen

So would I. But I see 3 rounds of dry humping and harmless GnP if the two actually fight.

I don't think Bisping has the power to KO Sonnen.

I see this fight as an easy victory for Sonnen as i think Bisping has problems with wrestlers like Hamill and Evans.

Moar from Chael Sonnen:

"I did see Michael Bisping’s fight, and I was very disappointed in his behaviour. Spitting on Jose Riviera’s cornermen brought disgrace to himself, to the sport, and to all fighters, me included. That’s why, first and foremost, Michael Bisping owes ME an apology," Sonnen said.

"As someone with much more experience than him, at a much higher level of competition, I am his superior and his behavior warrants an apology to me. Now you might say that’s a bit of abstract reasoning… but there’s another reason he better apologize to me first, and it has to do with his own self-interest.

"I happen to know, from one of my very highly-placed sources at the UFC, that Michael Bisping’s ‘goodwill account’ is seriously overdrawn with the company. He’s on very thin ice wearing really sharp skates, if you know what I mean. So, there are only TWO possible outcomes for him: He can fight ME, or he can get released.

"He needs to fight me to keep his job. But…and this is a big but…I don’t HAVE to fight Michael Bisping to keep MY job. If I decide not to fight him, they’ll set me up with some other contender I can ridicule, then pound into fine powder. But Bisping’s got me, or he’s GONE. I hold the “whip hand” in this deal; so if he wants to feed his family without going on the ‘dole’ (UK slang for welfare -ed.), he better apologize.

"Once he agrees to do that, I’ll decide what form his apology should take. I may want a singing apology. I may want him to choreograph and perform a little “apology dance”. I may make him kiss my ring like I’m the Pope, or kneel before me like I’m the King and he’s being knighted. I’m not sure what I’ll decide on…but he does owe me an apology."

Master Tong's not wearing his shades. I've got a bad feeling about this.. Still, I've got to be on the side of the Alpha Male fighter. Shame this event didn't get an OT..it would be funny to see it end after only 3 pages of ambivalence.

Joe Daddy coming out to some diva music

I edited my post because I got it confused with mma playground's made-up odds, which I just saw today at that number. Disappointed to say the least. The real money I won was just @ +115.
