Isn't Barboza fighting Pearson in Brazil? If he loses then yeah, Taylor makes sense.

Also, regarding that fight, people are counting out Pearson way too fast, he dismantled everyones current nut hug Siver, he broke his foot AND tore his knee in the first round of the Miller fight and I say he takes Miller 9/10, he has a fierce Judo game and has been training at Alliance with Cruz, Davis and the like.

Edson is a beast sure but it's not a given by any stretch.

Hell yeah, all the sponsorship money, PPV cuts, other bonuses and then his acting money, including the Expendables which much have paid well.

A.Silva has no urge to go LHW; there is still so much competition out there in the MW-devision.

I guess Brown's numerous submission losses were enough for Lytle to abandon STAND AND BANG. I do hope he tries to submit Gumby Hardy - that's always fun to watch.

GSP and AJ (a monster) take Hardy down and suddenly he is to be taken down at will by anybody?

I seem to recall Swick trying, and trying, and failing and in fact Hardy landing the only takedown of the fight.

I realise he hasn't beat anyone that great other than Swick, that he is on a 3 fight losing streak and has (on occasion) a big mouth but his losses are not shameful and he still has a fight in him for anyone imho.

Lytle is game, Hardy via UD.
 
^ Yeah that's a good point; I'll actually pick Hardy to win as well - similarly to the way Ebersole did. But I figure there's a decent chance of some Gumby action with both Hardy and Ben Henderson on the card.
 
Why cant he fight a Brazilian, all of that talk is wasted on fighting Stann. Takes away all the interest in the fight.
 
The key to a good troll is to have some type of credibility in what you're saying. Sonnen just says a bunch of ridiculous shit with nothing behind it.

Kazuyoshi Ishii, creator of K-1, wrote an article last night about a "New K-1" that will host a World GP every two years. http://j.mp/psbjVV

Ishii says that more details will come on the "new K-1" in August.

Looking at the article, it is unclear whether this "new K-1" from Ishii is related to the current event or FEG.

There should be some other major K-1 news coming out soon regarding these "new owners". I assume the new guys will be running with Ishii.

If you are wondering whether on not Ishii and these apparent new owners means good things for K-1: The answers is a resounding yes.


Uh, I hope "World GP every two years" doesn't mean less tournaments...

Ah, smart move then. Fight in places he knows he can fight in instead of being possibly struck down in CA and then have other states have to counter the decision.

I can't say I like the guy, but he knows how to talk shit to sell a fight, even if its 99% complete bullshit. He knows where his bread is buttered - a possible rematch with Silva for the title. Guys like Lesnar, Tito, Diaz, and Sonnen know how to make their money - in being a shit talker villain.

It sure is a hell of a lot more interesting when someone is willing to talk shit all the time to their opponents rather than stuff like mid-round bro hugs and handshakes like I've seen from Cro Cop, Akiyama, Renzo Gracie, among others. "Oh wow you just tried an awesome kick, lets shake on it!" I rather a guy just spew 99.9% bullshit to hype a fight rather than play buddy buddy with an opponent during a fight.

I see Chael as an intelligent and critical individual. Reading between the lines, just watching his expressions. Probably my favorite personality in MMA.
 
IMO:

Sonnen is a jag and Silva is a way better troll. Sonnen's shit is just stupid. There's no meat to it and it's not clever enough to stand on its own. Also he's a total scumbag and yet doesn't incorporate that into his shtick as any mastertroll should.
