I'm up to chapter 12 (about 90 minutes). It's pleasant enough but there's no gameplay or puzzle element like LiS and rewind. It seems definitely more in the 'Lost Records' genre. Walk, inspect, cut scene, mini game, repeat.
The tongue sequence was unexpected but I figure the devs were having some fun. The low FPS sometimes works but others (like walking though the train tracks) is quite jarring.
The loop seems to be, go to one of the characters houses, relive some memories then move onto the next house. There's a few on rail skate/trolley downhill sequences to make the transition.
It might pick up but not sure where the 10's are coming from. I got to say I'm a little disappointed - the trailer was so hype but it's like a well cut film trailer and you realise all the good bits were shown before you got in the auditorium. It just lacks texture for what its trying to achieve but a valiant effort.

If they wanted to give some light to good arcade games, material is definitely there. Every month good indie shit get released.
But it's not backed up by Anapurna so it's not even reviewed by websites.

I agree, and more people should play Ball x Pit, 2025 TGA Award Nominee, Balatro, the 2024 TGA GotY Nominee, or Vampire Survivors, 2023 BAFTA winner.

Ever since this got announced it didn't do a thing for me. These characters just don't seem interesting at all. More like annoying....but hey, it's on Game Pass. I might give it a go and see where tf all these 10s come from, and why.

No, based on the trailers it looks like a game about school kids, seems similar in tone (if not aesthetic) to that Lost Records game that came out last year.

I was bored with Stray too, but Stray was just published by Annapurna and not developed. It was developed by BlueTwelve Studio and the curiously named Beethoven & Dinosaur developed Mixtape. Sorry for the double post.

I'm on Chapter 10. It's entertaining so far.
Pretty demanding on a 5090. It's at 99% utilization at 3840x1600 with frames hovering around 100, from the few times I checked.
Was considering buying this on Switch 2 but I'd imagine it's really scaled back so I'll wait for footage or performance metrics.

The Artful Escape was a short ~4 hour experience, that was somewhat charming. A good palate cleanser on sale. It isn't too hard for me to believe that the devs could pull off the same experience again... if I'm being honest.
