the umpires are inaccurate. often. and there will never be any repercussions for it. ever. so they're not held accountable.
all showing it on tv does is make the average Joe who's seeing this on a tv in a sports bar say "but that wasn't a strike" and all a baseball fan can tell him "yeah, but the umpire said it was"
