Like I said. Original question was if people were giving the Giants a chance. Makes no sense not to.Can they win? Of course. Would they like their chances a little better if they were at home? Absolutely.

Who isn't excited to see the GOAT Yankee return? Alexander gonna hit 310/.412/.631 on his way to another MVP.Have I mentioned that I can't wait for Alejandro's triumphant return next season?
I still think there's enough even year magic left to get things done.Anyone giving the Giants a chance tonight? History and home field seem to suggest the Giants now having much of a chance.
My Indians almost pulled off the road upset in 97 and was just two outs away from winning it all![]()

Hudson is a better pitcher than Guthrie so that probably cancels out the HFA aspect.
:jncI hope after he hits that 6th HR he draws a dollar sign in the dirt at home plate and points up at the owners box.
Hudson's numbers in the last two months of the season were pretty lousy but if he's injured or worn down, it's not really hurting his playoff numbers this month. 19.1 innings of 2.56 FIP ball. 2.66 xFIP means he's not just getting lucky with HR/FB either unlike Guthrie's 5.06 xFIP.Go look at their respective stats over the past two months and tell me if you still feel that way. Granted, it's a small sample size, but something's wrong with Hudson.
It's doubtful the starters have much to do with the outcome of this game anyway. At the first sign of trouble, they'll both be pulled.
It's 2:11pm.
Three guys from the office just bought overpriced tickets.
Decisions, decisions...
I still think there's enough even year magic left to get things done.
Bullpen management will likely be key. Bochy >>>> Yost but Yost has much better options to choose from. Hudson is a better pitcher than Guthrie so that probably cancels out the HFA aspect. Probably a true coin flip at this point.
I'm going!!!

His 2014 splits suggest he gets into real trouble around the 6th inning but he'll likely be pulled by then even he isn't struggling. Guthrie, on the other hand, starts having problems (.800+ OPS allowed) around the 2nd/3rd inning according to his splits. Neither starter is going to win the game so it's a matter of whether they can lose it by pulling a CJ Wilson or a Jake Peavy. Guthrie is more likely to blow up in an early inning.
Perez starting in left, Ishikawa out.

YES!!
Obviously, 3 games is way too small of a sample size to say much. I'm just refuting your notion that something is wrong with Hudson lately (cherry picking his Aug/Sep numbers without considering Oct numbers seems arbitrary). Take away the numbers from his great NLDS start and he still has 7 Ks to 1 BB in 12 innings pitched over 2 games. That's more than solid enough in a game likely dominated by the bullpen. Those good postseason numbers for Hudson are largely buoyed by a very good start he had versus the Dodgers in the NLDS. His peripherals in the NLCS and WS aren't horrendous, but the overall production has not been good. Regardless, looking any deeper at his postseason stats would be shrinking an already small sample size, but I don't think the difference between Hudson and Guthrie will be significant tonight.
Good.Perez starting in left, Ishikawa out.
You're trying way too hard.I'm gonna get drunk and post a dick pic on GAF if my Royals win.
Well I will get drunk even if they lose I guess.
You're trying way too hard.
I am and I'm not. I mean once the season stops I can start getting too enthusiastic about the Twins! That's the joke.
I'm actually just sad that baseball is done tonight.
it's good to see that despite all the crazyness that will surround game 7 tonight, we can still take time out to discuss the real reason why we all post on MLB-GAF : Ketchup Vs. Mustard Vs. Mayonnaise Vs. BBQ Sauce. (team Ketchup & Mayo here)

Crazy hoss hes giving up 6 homers already. TerribadI want this game to go like 19 innings so that Bochy is forced to put Strickland in with the championship on the line.
30 minutes until either the greatest or worst night of our lives. Brace yourselves fellow RoyalsGAF members.
Crazy hoss hes giving up 6 homers already. Terribad
And watch it be the one point he finally shows up.
Everyone talking about "how soon do you think they are gonna pull out Bumgarner"
Nah he gone early..If I was Hudson, that'd piss me off.
