Fuck not replacing Salvador Perez when he got beaned and was to damn gimped to swing at the ball, Fuck Nori Aoki and his black hole in the lineup.

Fuck baseball. The Royals aren't going back, we'll probably get the Cardinals and the Red Sox or Tigers next year anyways.
 
After just three years of expanded playoffs, we now already have two World Series winners who were Wild Card #2's and wouldn't have even made the playoffs otherwise.

Are you serious? They were showing love and gratitude to their team. In their stadium. In their first playoffs in 29 years.

What a laughable thing to take offense to. Even the Giants players understood what that was about.
 
To literally get as close as possible having a runner on 3rd down by 1 is truly heartbreaking, but its hard to be sad because this team gave us the greatest season of our lives. It doesn't matter if we won it in '85, this season and this team has meant so much more.

I'm going to cry now not just because we lost, but because I know this is likely the last time we'll see guys like Billy Butler in a Royals uniform. Its the main reason why I just didn't want this season to end and to at least let them go out with a championship together. Its heartbreaking.

Congrats GiantsGAF. Bumgarner really deserves this.
 
As a SF fan, I was deep down kind of hoping the Royales would win seeing that they did so well in the playoffs and hadn't won one in a long while. But cripes, Ventura last night and now Bumgartner tonight, the pitching has been just awesome to watch from both teams!

I think the official scorer can reserve the right to award the win to the pitcher who had the most impact on the game, a judgement call. After Madison came in, the Royals completely shut down. That gives him the win for sure.
 
Good game. Good series.
That's a classic performance by Bumgarner.
Recent history puts the Giants into that dynasty level.

Baseball is going to turn into the NBA at some point. Below .500 teams will be WS winners.
 
The Rays are winning the World Series next season without Joe Maddon. The Back to the Future prophecy will be fulfilled with the Rays beating The Cubs since the Marlins can't being in the National League.

If we ended up losing, you guys more than deserved the title with that amazing run. I would have been legit upset though if Bum didn't get MVP even if you did steal the game late.

Cable deals have leveled the playing field.

With the exception of the rays most teams can spend cash. Owners don't want to risk it or they are assholes (Loria) . Or they lost all of their money and helped somebody rob millions and cancer foundations (Mets)

Yeah. If the starter fails to 5 innings the official scorer can choose the winner.

They usually pick the pitcher who was on the mound at the time they took the lead but they had to give this to Bumgarner lol.

What? I've never heard of that. Isn't it always the person pitching when their team takes the lead?

Bumgarner definitely had the most impact, but Affeldt was the winning pitcher that game.
