Prone is a gift. It lets me know who is going to be the truly easy target for sniping.

Rage compilation. First few seconds are fucking crazy lol.Fjordson said:I was dying watching some of his recent live commentaries. So damn funny, especially when he starts raging at the game.

It's only been a few years and in the same generation. It's not like we're comparing Goldeneye with Killzone 2.NBtoaster said:What's stupid?
You're not thinking that MW2 2 years ago getting a better score than BF3 means that IGN thinks that BF3 is worse right? because THAT would be stupid.
Different reviewers. Different times. Different standards.

You know, dude has a point about the controls in BF3. I just got the game today and was eager to try it since I've heard so much about the controls on PS3 being off. It's straight up Killzone 2 controls in this game. I have no idea what happened between the beta and retail game but something went horribly wrong.Khal_B said:

It's really frustrating trying to aim in this game. I played about maybe 20 minutes of the campaign before I quit out of frustration with the controls. The game looks nice though.
I get enjoyment out of both the Battlefield and COD franchises. It's just that this season I was more excited for BF3. I would eventually get MW3 somewhere down the line but it may be sooner if they don't patch the controls in BF3.
Controls on 360 are butter, just like they were in the beta.Red Nightmare said:Ugg. Are the controls better on 360? Or are they equally as sucky?

Say what you want about CoD. At least that game has buttery smooth controls. It's hard to play a clunky chunky controlling FPS after CoD.
This also, it's a character. Part of him definitely believes what he's saying at times but you can tell when he goes over the top on purpose just to troll people. I do think he hates BF3 and campers but he yells emphatically in his commentaries just for entertainment purposes.web01 said:Elpresador is a beast and entertaining as fuck, but if you do not think he exaggerating you are delusional. I haven't played the game since the beta so I can't really judge the other stuff but this design decision was really fucking stupid. I have the same problem with Gears of War 3. You should be able to quit out when you are on the post-match statistic page.Sho_Nuff82 said:He cites

I think it's more awesome that Uncharted 3 is managing 2nd place right now over COD on PS3 and even BF3 on 360. That's great hopefully it stays like that.Interfectum said:http://www.amazon.com/best-sellers-video-games/zgbs/videogames/

Prone is incredibly useful in both games.Effect said:As more people learn the maps I'm hoping prone shouldn't be as much of an issue. I'm encountering it less and less in the live game then I did in the beta. I only use it sparingly. Mainly because I'm not used to it from playing a lot of Bad Company 2. I found it worthless in CoD personally so never used it other then because I felt like trying to dive.
Genesis Knight said:-horrendous clipping
- sometimes in kill cam if someone is crawling around the camera will go through the floor. I haven't seen clipping problems in actual gameplay.
-terrible spawn points
- not sure what he's talking about. You can spawn into objectives, onto teammates, or onto vehicles/spawn beacons. He's probably just making dumb spawn choices and getting killed instantly. Let me know how many usable vehicles he sees in MW3.
-no kill cam
- there is a killcam - it shows you your enemy's location. It's just not CoDs 'instant replay"
-inability to quit between rounds without quitting the entire game
- BC2 was the same way, it's a gimmick to keep you playing.
-no population stats for each game mode
- and that makes it broken? who cares?
-server browser instead of matchmaking
- there is matchmaking, it's called 'Quick Match'. Besides, server browsers are awesome, you'd be dumb to use matchmaking instead.
-multi map is too tiny to be useful
- uh, okay? Not true IMO, but it's opinion, not 'broken'
Your friend doesn't sound like he's trying at all.

Does anybody really care about that? I never even think about sites like that. I think most people rely on word of mouth or message boards.WhyMe6 said:As I was reading through reviews of Battlefield 3 via Metacritic, I remembered a time when John Riccitiello was discussing how to "beat" Call of Duty with a "90" Metacritic game vs. their "85" (as in, make a better product).
Why the hell are these CEOs so obsessed with Metacritic? Does it really have that much bearing in the mainstream game-purchasing community?
Anyway, I'm assuming he's trying to beat CoD on the console front and I found it quite amusing that the console version of Battlefield 3 is currently sitting on an 85, which is lower than any Call of Duty game (bar World at War) released this gen as well as Bad Company 2. The Infinity Ward-developed CoDs always do exceptionally well review-wise, too (not that the current MW3 dev team is the same IW).
Upon MW3's release, if it does average 90+ and BF3 is still on 85 for console versions, I will find it unprofessionally hilarious if Kotick brings up Riccitiello's aforementioned quote.
Red Nightmare said:Does anybody really care about that? I never even think about sites like that. I think most people rely on word of mouth or message boards.
Well, companies usually use it so they can put a new sticker on their GOTY edition. Which is so stupid...WhyMe6 said:Exactly. If you're into researching games online and browsing message boards and the like, you're going to draw opinions from like-minded individuals who have experienced the game from online communities.
If you're not into researching games online, you're going to rely on word of mouth and experiences from your mates.
I don't understand this company obsession with Metacritic, it's been around for years along with Gamerankings but those in the mainstream industry rarely used to bring it up :/
