I'm just popping by to say I live like two blocks away from Issac Brock's house and I have heard them practicing on multiple occasions. Yeah. :3

I saw them live in 2004 at Austin City Limits. That was in the midst of their huge popularity surge and radio craze.

I don't know if Brock was sick or what, but it was the single worst show I have ever seen. They sounded terrible. The vocals were a mess.

On a more positive note, My Morning Jacket played minutes later and proved why they're such a great live show. I introduced several friends to them who are now big fans. Concert redeemed.

They have on nights and off nights. When they're on, they're really on.

First heard them at a house party on acid back in 2002 or so. The song was "Dramamine", the opener on their debut. Loved the guitar work and immediatley learned to play it.

Haven't followed them much, but everything they put out I always give a listen and enjoy it.

I saw these guys at the Firefly Music Festival the other week. They weren't bad but the lead singer cut the set short cause his guitar broke.

Said something in the lines of "Perfect end to a perfect show"

What a pussy.

Started listening to Modest Mouse again like I tend to around this time every year and was wondering if anyone ever made a documentary about them. Apparently, Pitchfork made one two months ago! And it's about my favorite album The Lonesome Crowded West. Really good stuff :)
I tried playing the doc, but it's impossible. The video doesn't play in Firefox, Opera, or Chrome. I don't want to bother with IE.
