Closets are good for deep thinking/reflection. I can see this.
I think this to myself quite often. I have a computer science degree, but work in a Data Center doing a lot of physical work. The only reason I put up with it is because the pay is absolutely amazing. I was a Linux sysadmin before this job, which is a much more respectable position, but I got like a 25k raise to go to this job. Still, I can't escape the "what am I doing with my life" feeling quite often.

Not really lol. But my temperament is quite far on the other extreme, and has its own faults for sure.

We all let out our stress in different ways. I wouldn't make a public scene, but I have broken a controller after a bad FIFA match. It depends on how overwhelmed people are.
Consider yourself lucky you have yet to reach your breaking point.
I'd like to get back into sysadmin work. I really miss writing Bash scripts to automate tasks and digging through server logs to find issues. It's sounds boring, but it's actually pretty rewarding work. I just can't find anything that pays nearly as well as what I am making now.

I spent the day breaking apart my coin collection. It's really not worth anything, but it has followed me for years, a monkey on my back. I'm making a big move later this year, so it's time to rid myself of "stuff".
I'm keeping all the silver, as it's worth about 13 times face value (for zombie apocalypse), but the majority of my collection was pulled from pocket change and has basically no numismatic value. Some proof coins and sets I will keep as I enjoy looking at them.
That's my story. Not sure if it fits the spirit of the thread.

Since I always felt rejection in my adolescence, I dedicated my life to be the person who have more things to offer to girls in the world.
It's not like I didnt get anything, in fact, I do think I got to build plenty of things to offer, but last night I realized it finally.
People were never meant to look for what others had, kinda like in market, or in other words, they walk with their eyes closed until something just sparkles in the dark and they decide to open them.
Most people just follows theirs instincts without thinking too much about it. They dont care about what they may be missing, and less care about their instincts will bring them.
So yeah, I feel like someone who wasted his life collecting things no girls seems to value. I feel like a company who invested thousands of dollas in something it believed, but then nobody cared for and it went bankrupt.
So I need a 540º spin on my life, and man is it hard. It's really hard for me to find the meaning of things when another person is not getting benefits from it, and since I dont see the meaning, I dont get benefit either.
Please god send help.

I fell into my 1,000th hour of American Truck Simulator on Sunday... I felt quite sad about it, so I went and hugged my SO and we went out for lunch.

My friend you need to focus on what makes you happy and brings fulfillment to your life. You won’t really attract other people by trying to impress everyone else. It’s your life do what you want to do

I just recently lost my dog of over 10 years, he was growing sick and in pain and my wife and I had to make the hard choice to let him go in peace. It’s been a few weeks now and his death has really thrown me for a loop, questioning my place in life and what I actually have. My wife and I have both been super down from it, we’ve kept each other from having too big of breakdowns, but losing such a loving being from your life really leaves a hole that I’m struggling to deal with. Things like work, which I enjoyed before, no longer really make a lot of sense to me. Even games aren’t fun right now. Everything feels like I’m walking through sludge, everything takes a ton of energy to do.

Honestly, I would love to spit out bits of my story about what makes me happy and how I handle it, but I will save you from that. Thanks for the cheer up mate = )

when I would sit down satruday morning to play HoMM3 and not get up from the chair until Sunday at 4am.
this was more of a " omg where did the time go" situation i guess.... as I enjoyed the day.
Any time spent on the internet thats not informative/knowledge enhancing gets me saying WTF am I doing wasting my time.
