Monitoring the situation in Iran

A president can frame a war however they want, reality shows gas is still 4.00+ gal, look at George bush with Iraq and the "mission accomplished" speech, clearly went on for years, or look at Obama and all his "Phases" of war in Iraq, and Afghanistan.
 

Trump says it's 'treasonous' to say US not winning war in Iran


Donald Trump told a Florida crowd that it is "treasonous" to say the US is not winning the war in Iran.

The US president was speaking at The Villages in Florida, the world's largest retirement community, when he made the remarks.

Trump came to tout supposedly fulfilling his 2024 campaign promise to remove taxes on Social Security.

It came after the president told Congress that the war in Iran had already ended, despite his earlier issuing a fresh threat to Tehran.

It's been my assumption that if active warfare was going to commence again, it would either happen this weekend or not at all. I thought that due to the Thursday briefing that Trump got on military options, the negotiations going nowhere, and more military forces having arrived in the area.

But, it's morning in Iran now, so it didn't happen tonight. Trump wouldn't restart the war on Sunday night when the Asian markets have opened up. So that really only leaves tonight, Saturday night. If it doesn't happen in the next 36 hours or so, I think we're committed to a long blockade and the Strait of Hormuz being closed for potentially months more, perhaps well into the summer.

Trump want to leave spain and italy, it s a manchild lmao: thinks he's doing us a disservice but instead nobody give a fuck in italy if he close the american base only..

I doubt Trump will shut them down completely but he will reduce numbers of soldiers to punish some countries for sure.

punish? instead of talk, go ahead, shut them down(in every european country)...as a european, this american base is like a relic of cold war.... and we can fight our wars without problem

I know, but this is Trump logic. USA needs those bases to attack ME efficiently, but he is capable of shutting them down to punish people that dare to criticize him.

That is because Trump doesn't see other countries as allies, he only sees them as tools, as a mean for his objectives. He doesn't understand cooperation.
And when countries refuse him, he makes a tantrum, like a petulant child, a high level narcissist.

There are still people who believe the fairy tale that the US protects us? Europe was just a buffer zone back then, not more and not less. Today European US bases only serve US strategic interests, mainly in the middle east.And now donnie got butthurt again. What a clownfiesta.

It is indeed a fairytale

Europe is far gone and invaded already may as well be just an extension of the middle east at this point , so its true the US didnt protect europe because theyve already lost the war, same with britannistan
