pramath said:Wait... so is this confirmed to be an exclusive, or is it multiplatform?

Well IGN says DualCore 266mhz Arm11 - which against Dual Core 333mhz R4000 puts them in the same ballpark.
Don't have any public-links for details beyond that, sorry![]()

Isn't pretty much just Blazblue it? Well, also Michael Jackson and presumably Madden. But it's not a big list. That's the other thing, I don't get why people just automatically think it's going to be multiplatform just because the Vita exists....
Making games multiplatform is a basic strategy, and Capcom has strengthened the "Monster Hunter" franchise, as well as other popular brands, by using it. Capcom will continue to meet the player's expectations through superior developmental knowhow and research, and by choosing hardware that benefits our games the most.

Capcom, as a company that does a lot of its business in the West and relies on non-essential consumer spending, is more exposed than most.
I've just noticed my friend Joe's Mii doesn't bob his head like mine or yours. I must learn how to stop the bobbing.waicol said:1633-4304-5709
Sad thing is most video game stockholders have no freaking clue about the industry and cant understand such things as different console makers etcSidewinder said:Stockholders would rather see them fire some employees and cut some corners, which would immediately decrease expenditures, than make new games, because that costs moneyz right now!!1

I forgot his name (the guy with the graphics horse avatar) said that the media engine has another core/cpu too. I think it only can go up to 166mhz though (main CPU 333mhz).antonz said:PSP Does not have a dual core CPU

So what's with the Media Engine? It has that for certain.goomba said:That's the gpu
The "Media Engine" is the second R4000 core that Fafalada was talking about.Wazzim said:So what's with the Media Engine? It has that for certain.
Why do you think that?Twinduct said:LOL oh wow!
I assume this is a MH intended for the western audience? (Or at least what capcom believes would appeal to a western audience?)

Pretty sure I heard no mention of online or wi-fi at all. But if someone else wants to have a listen ~53 mins.

That's pretty disappointing.duckroll said:Thanks, seems like the moment everyone on GAF went crazy in the thread was when Iwata asked the producer if he had a final message for everyone at the conference as well as all fans watching the conference over the internet at home. Lol.
Thats exactly what it is. its the equivalent to the Pica chip in the 3DS as far as functioncrimsonheadGCN said:The specifications for the Media Engine just makes it look like the GPU.
There's still sales talk. But you're probably right.Gravijah said:When the game is out and 90% of the posters in these threads don't care about it, maybe.
Took how many years for it to die down on MGS4 when half the people only wanted a Betrayl?Gravijah said:When the game is out and 90% of the posters in these threads don't care about it, maybe.
I don't know a lick of Japanese and even I understood that part.duckroll said:Thanks, seems like the moment everyone on GAF went crazy in the thread was when Iwata asked the producer if he had a final message for everyone at the conference as well as all fans watching the conference over the internet at home. 4 is probably more than a year away unless they really have a big team working on it. I expect a 2013 release for itShockingAlberto said:Rewatching the trailer, that does actually look awful graphically.
But it was clearly more of an intention of direction for the series rather than a showcase of polish.
It will end up looking better than that, obviously. Curious to see just how much better.

I do and that's why I'm here posting about it.When the game is out and 90% of the posters in these threads don't care about it, maybe.
I don't see anything that would stop him from stopping to fight them wherever he wanted (as long as it had enough space and wasn't a breakable platform itself), they just wanted to show off the more interactive, seamless environments and character agility I think....Twinduct said:This looks an attempt to make the game more cinematic. Again this is only if this is some PV and that the main hunts don't follow some set string of paths like in the video
The same video that was uploaded online was titled "Concept Video," so yeah, it's too early judge anything other than the new direction they're taking the series through.ShockingAlberto said:Rewatching the trailer, that does actually look awful graphically.

I don't really connect the 'cinematic' style with the Western audience, but you might be right. It looks pretty much like Dragon's Dogma to me.Twinduct said:This looks an attempt to make the game more cinematic. Admittedly, I don't know how much it costs to include online play, or how many people would benefit from it, but I do strongly believe it would help sales world wide. I'll almost certainly still end up buying the game, but I'd be much more excited if I knew I could play with friends. I did expect it honestly yeah.duckroll said:Only because anyone has expectations at all!
Regardless of a PSV SKU, it's major news. A huge Japanese franchise is putting it's focus solely on the handhelds it seems.24FrameDaVinci said:So I know hundreds of people are blowing their loads over this news, but I didn't see anything about it being exclusive to the platform in their press release. We really dont know. Capcom talks strongly about multiplatforming the franchise. That would make more sense then multiplatforming a specific game. Give each handheld its own version24FrameDaVinci said:So I know hundreds of people are blowing their loads over this news, but I didn't see anything about it being exclusive to the platform in their press release.
