Lord Ghirahim said:MH virgin here, should I play the Wii one or should I import MHTriG? Is it an expansion pack of sorts?
The bolded is absolutely insane. Its crazy that prior to today we all knew how big MHP had gotten. It rivals Pokemon, and is bigger than Dragon Quest right now. And you just said its going to do 600k tops. In other words fans of the game are going to abandon it because of no transfer.
Do you only have a Wii and 3DS?Lord Ghirahim said:MH virgin here, should I play the Wii one or should I import MHTriG? Is it an expansion pack of sorts?
TriG is Tri with additional content. A lot of additional content it seems.Lord Ghirahim said:MH virgin here, should I play the Wii one or should I import MHTriG? Is it an expansion pack of sorts?

An online mode hasn't even been announced apparently.Lord Ghirahim said:Okay, I'll think I'll skip the original Tri then. I should expect a fee for TriG, right?
Tyrant_Onion said:It seems like they even have real-time shadows.
Didn't the Wii-vesion just have blob shadows?
Absolutely go for Tri thenLord Ghirahim said:At the moment, yes. I don't think Tri has been on other platforms anyway.

And you need a Japanese system to play an import, too.
BorkBork said:They need to push this as a big selling point for sure. Lord knows I lost track of the times when I jump slashed or hammered down into thin air in Tri because of the lack of depth perception.
Lord Ghirahim said:Is the single-player campaign that good on its own?
The singleplayer is alright in introducing you to the gameplay if you're new to the series. No pressure to fuck your whole team up if you're not doing good. And it may have a monster that you wont find in multiplayer.Lord Ghirahim said:I'm sure they'll announce an online mode if they don't want it to crash and burn. Which is why online is a must if Capcom and Nintendo want the game to have any chance of success outside of Japan. I hope its included.slaughterking said:The singleplayer is alright to introduce you to the gameplay if you're new to the series. No pressure to fuck your whole team up if you're not doing good. But overall it's all about the multiplayer experience.
I honestly hope they change this in Tri G. I think fighting it would be fun with 3 other people.slaughterking said:And it may have a monster that you wont find in multiplayer

OneMoreQuestion said:I'm guessing that this actually comes with the weapons that Tri missed out on for some reason.
ofx360 said:Yeah... it really doesn't look like i'm getting a 3DS any time soon. Plus, from the title, it just sounds like the wii version with a little more stuff so i don't mind missing it.
I'll just wait for the PSV release of MH.

"something, something" Monster Hunter Frontier Online already exists "something".markot said:The game could be relavent in the west if it was an actually decent online game >.> as it is its the half assed japanese online system we all know and hate.
It is like an mmo, basically, it just isnt. And the game would benefit enourmously from it too...
Japan sucks for online >.> face facts.

Pink Rathalos too!
Holy shit, you're right. How? I didn't think the 3DS would have the power to spare.Nuclear Muffin said:Just saw the new scans (not the one we've all seen here). Graphics look just as good as the Wii version if not better (PROPER SHADOWS FTW!)

The way its been reported by other sites its just no specified or talked about. I haven't read any translation that confirms no online. But who knows, maybe there is none or maybe that's another secret weapon Nintendo is keeping for the 13th.Eteric Rice said:Is it explicitly said that there isn't any online, or is it just not mentioned?
