Offcourse not. They selling you a new copy of 14 every 4 months if youre a regular, minor fixes to a game that barely ran on pcs and had a red metascore wasn't gonna get them that.
These are mostly free fixes to a game thats already seen most of its sales and sits at a mich better average score

It seems like the leak has some legit info but it builds upon rumours we have already seen/stuff SE said so I'm not sure myself.
Being critical doesn't necessarily equal out to being upset. I'm definitely not going to be "salty" if they announce an expansion and I'm not now. There's too many legitimately, very good games releasing in the next few weeks especially to be upset about SE wasting their time fixing their mess.

Any time you buy essentially any product at launch, you're getting the least number of features for the most amount of money. This is the early adopter model and it is not a business model exclusive to videogames.

I come to this thread to see people discussing the rumor about expansions and all I see are people whining about the name 'World of Versus' while ignoring the rest of the content, which was already confirmed multiple times but yet still has to be reacted negatively every time it is shown/leaked in some way.
* Expanded story cutscenes? Confirmed long ago in the post-launch update plan
* Platinum demo? Confirmed at launch where the showed expanded version with SE boss
The only new thing here is the 'World of Versus' bit and somehow everyone keeps fixating on it.
It is fucking annoying to me. If you are so attached to Versus, feel free to make your own thread about it and cry over it. Don't start shit posting about it in a FFXV thread.

Just to play devil's advocate, the ring spell "Alterna" that transports enemies to another realm is called "Versus" in some Spanish localizations.

It's definitely the right move. It's also a long-standing tradition to do the "mournful music keeps playing even when a battle starts" during important/late game parts of Final Fantasy.

But people cry like fucking babies and wants to throw their salt and cries down everybody's throat just so they've been heard and somehow feel like their opinions are the majority and only right one.

I will only have time to play through the game once. When is the best time to do that?

I don't think we will have to play the game to see the cutscenes. Tabata had said that they plan to implement a chapter or cutscene viewer so it is possible that we get it before the new stuff is added.
Your best bet is to wait for the first DLC episode and see if the added content is worth it.

Wonder if they'll add the rest of it tho. The special demo disc added more into platinum
maybe we'll get lucky and its the non vocal(non terrible) version

The Platinum Demo teased here is likely the expanded version since this was confirmed in a ATR by Tabata.
So we aren't getting the same old demo but an expanded version with the weird fat Prompto and SE Boss Matsuda.

Hmm not sure if I believe this. I'm on 1.05 and Somnus stops playing when I fight the monsters in Insomnia, same as it happened before. Maybe it's because I still have Aranea in my party?

Different teams. In fact past days they showed development is progressing for both Kingdom Hearts III and FF VII Remake.

I think the somnus music was a bug they never adressed, it's been explained a few pages back...

Well, the PC Port in 2018-19 is looking better and better..
Might as well revisit FF2. Not too bad of a game in retrospect. At least it didn't cost a 100 million and 10 years to make.
Thanks. A cutscene viewer or something like that would be a perfect solution. I wouldn't feel as if I am missing something important by playing now.
Thank you too. I will probably wait till after Zelda (since I've already taken a break by now) and then continue.
I also don't think they'll change my opinion, and I am very hopeful I will enjoy the story anyway. It's just that I feel I am missing out on other things I might like as well.
Basically: If I only ever got the chance to watch Fellowship of the Ring ONCE, I'd rather it be the Extended Edition than the regular one. Just because I'd have seen everything.
I understand that but could still pull resources to speed up development?

O yea i get that for sure. If you wait till after you finish Zelda which will probably take u a good amount by than a good amount should be added.
Aren't there already a considerable amount of ppl doing ffvii. And besides that i imagine once done here the team will make another game as i believe 30% has already started
Key is that they don't have to do anything at all. They could have just released the game, made the DLC for the season pass, and moved on.

I actually see more people with valid criticisms about the leaks than people "overreacting" about the "World of Versus" expansion rumor. You seem to be in the group of people who can't stand anyone talking about the game in a negative light. Yeah we get it dude, you adore the game. Other people aren't going to be filled with endless praise. As evident with every FF XV thread since the game came out. If you can't deal with that then maybe you need to get over it.
