WB wants to invest in more service games.

more always on gameplay through live services, multiplatform and F2P extensions with the goal to have more players spending more time on more platforms

MK as we knew it is dead and gone, that press release confirms it IMO.

Same reason why we didnt get shit for MKs 30yr anniversary either. WB hates the history of MK and only wants to focus on its current and disgusting gaas model.

Dawg lets be real it was never alive and here to begin with. Street Fighter, Tekken and Smash always had more tight and intuitive fighting mechanics, MK was clunky and odd in comparison. animations didn't help either. Y'all were in it for the gore and the story. even Dead or Alive which sold on sex appeal had great core mechanics to back the titty physics up.

The 'horseshit' here is essential to fighting games. I think it says a lot when people talk more about SF, Tekken, and Smash more competitively than they do MK. The game is just not a fun or interesting fighter in comparison to peers of the genre.

Well online competetive wise, yes i agree.

Prior to this latest dumpster fire, the MK games have had plenty of good single player content. You cant discount the huge history of the MK fanbase that love it for its single player content
