You know, last night I asked myself why Marvel Vs. Capcom is a more acceptable idea than MK vs DC...and I couldn't come up with a reason.

That is, other than the fact that MK vs DC is a fundamentally retarded concept.

They're both completely ridiculous fanservice games, but Mvs.C is one of the best fighters ever, so no one cares.

If this is a fun non-deep fighter than Deadly Alliance and Deception, I'll be happy with it. Those were fun games.

But I just hope DC has the balls to let their characters act like MK characters. :lol

There shouldn't be any problems with MK • DC. Doomsday vs Subzero will be epic. Kaneo vs Lobo. I'm not sure how many characters they'll actually have with it being the first game this gen. I can see 12 or 15 on each side.

That doesn't really have much to do with the concept. Sure you could say that Marvel vs Capcom could turn out into a better game, but Spider-Man vs Mega Man is just as goofy as anything you'd see come out of MK • DC.

-Midway has been making Justice League/DC Comics games for over a few years, so is not like this is..ehr..would be the first time they got the license.

-Midway/MK team has been wanting to do a 'Vs' game for..years, mostly a 'Vs. Street Fighter' game. Capcom USA had interest, Capcom Japan didn't.

-No matter how everyone (at GAF) reacts, Mortal Kombat still sells. Has been the best selling fighter (right next to one other game that many don't consider a fighter) for years, even more impressive when MK has been a multi-million seller..since 1992. Yeah, less millions..but still millions.

-There has been a few/multiple Mortal Kombat projects being developed over the years...for all systems.

In any case, when I made this thread...(one month ago) people in general were like "Meh, MK sucks" ..or "Well, I don't care"...yet, the same posts/reply are posted at every MK thread..I mean, I know about voicing opinions and all that, but when someone "doesn't care" about something, yet all that, that someone does is talk about how much he doesn't care for "that"...maybe there's an interest..deep inside...or maybe the 're just masochists..who knows..

Marvel was pretty much money-broke before the Marvel Vs. games and Spider-man the movie.

So this could be a good move for both.

But I don't see this as being a MK vs DC, just MK with various guest characters (not limited to DC, possibly?).
