That is subjective of course. I can tell you that back when MK3 was released no other fighting game had me more hooked. Midway hasn't coped with the transition to 3D that well, though. Don't know about Capcom. I actually can't recall playing any Capcom 3D fighter.

Either way I'm not particularly found of either company when it comes to fighters. My preference lies with SNK's fighters when it comes to 2D fighters. And with AM2 when it comes to 3D ones.

yea... but it will keep midway alive...Namco is doing the same with SC.

thats because the only real 3d fighter from capcom if im not mistaken is Powerstone (fantastic game) Rival schools comes close because of its sidestep but it still feels very much 2d.

SNK is fantastic... I still prefer Garou:MOTW over 3rd strike.

Is this some sort of sick joke, or is it actually real?

Is it going to have fatalities? Batman could have some interesting ones. Or Superman too. Fly your enemy into space and watch them implode or something. Or, spin the world in reverse and watch your enemy shrink back into sperm :lol

Street Fighter EX (1, 2 & 3), Crimson Tears (though more action than fighting per se), Jojo...
 
Jirotrom : I didn't know that those games were by Capcom. I happen to love Rival Schools for it quirkiness, but, yeah, it's not real 3d fighter. Powerstone is something I still want to play someday; I was under the impression it was more of a party game though (?).

And yeah Garou is my favorite side-by-side with Last Blade 2.

At the end of the day I will still give Midway the benefit of the doubt. They might come up with something fairly good but people can't bare holding their opinions until actually playing it....

I still think it's just as silly an idea as Marvel VS Capcom ever was. For better or for worse.

i wasnt classifying the street fighters as 3d, those games are still very much 2d. Crimson tears i have no clue. Jojo is 2d

Well, there was a 3D JoJo game on PS2..though more focused on action and adventure..
And the whole "2D-3D" is always debatable..and I don't want to derails the clusterfuck of a thread even more.. :p
 
Doesn't look all the different from the last three MK games, but I will reserve judgement for now. It deserves a fair shot (well, maybe :lol ).

Then why does the article at Gamesradar say that it's a CG trailer?

At the moment we don't have any details on which characters from each canon will be appearing (though Sub-Zero and Batman are obviously pretty much confirmed), but what we most certainly do have is the European first-look at the game's CG trailer.

The stage/arena looks like a 3D version of The Graveyard from MK3..Sub-Zero looks really close to his Shaolin Monks look..

Typo, mistake, just a general term..
I mean..CG stands for 'computer generated'..so maybe they used it as a general term.. :p
