Now they're removing the patch since it ate everyone's saves. lol. Oh and to remove the patch you have to download another 15.2gb patch. LOL.

We are temporarily removing the patch until we can pinpoint the cause of save data loss. We are actively working on this and will keep everyone posted as we work towards a fix. We sincerely apologize for this disruption.

See, this is why some people don't believe in PC gaming. Sad, since most games are just fine, but bad ports are truly, genuinely, painfully bad.

The fuck, I play for 15 mins and now I need to download the patch again? Oh jeez.

Damn,

Good thing I'm at work, and my PC is asleep. I don't want to lose my save game. Guess going forward I'll have to make sure auto-updates are not set for this game.

No you need to download a patch to remove the first patch. See my post at the top of the page.

30gb to stay where I was, wonderful. They put out a near perfect patch on paper and manage to fuck it up royally.

I was outside grilling and missed all the hoopla about the update/downgrade. Came inside to check steam, and am left with two distinct thoughts:

1. I should have just waited a month for a steam sale on this.

2. Ribs DO make everything better....

This is officially the only game i regret buying at full price as a result of a shoddy initial port and the terrible post launch care.

As consolation its at least a very entertaining disaster to watch.

That's for sure. They set expectations high from the outset:

[Play MKX] / [Configure MKX]

"Oh, I'd like to configure please" - *click*

You break my fucking heart. I downloaded the rollback and didn't even play yesterday.

I just couldn't waste 45+gigs on patches, so I canceled the rollback.

Not all wine and roses though, the display driver is crashing more frequently than before the patch. I'm getting a display driver crash even in the krypt now.

I don't think its my GPU overclock, as the thing is rock solid after 30+ minutes of unigine benchmark looping and I don't have issues in any other games.

Do you use MSI Afterburner? If I use the OSD it crashes MKX.

EVGA Precision X. I changed some settings and I'm going to try again and see if I get anymore crashes.

EDIT:

Ha. I feel silly. It seems even though I disabled the OSD when I saved a profile, it was automatically turning the OSD on when I activated the profile and didn't notice it since the OSD doesn't actually appear in MKX. Turned the OSD off and haven't had a crash yet on my original OC settings. (1500GPU/4000Mem)

I'm back to resolutions above 1080p not saving on any of my systems.

Has anyone found a way to force anti-aliasing in MKX through NVCP/Inspector? I'm playing on a 4K60 TV, and 1080p just doesn't cut it. SSAA would've been fantastic had they included it.

I'm using Nvidia Control Panel for SSAA, AO, and AF after being disappointed with the in-game options.

Really, that's good news. What's the flag you're using for SSAA compatibility if you don't mind my asking? To be honest I didn't think it was possible to force SSAA on DX11 games. :-)

There we go :D

Well I'm still crashing in KOTH it just takes longer, and the ping bars still don't work in rooms so yeah.

It isnt possible. So I am not sure how he is doing it!

Placebo effect, apparently! I actually had no idea forcing SSAA wouldn't work with DX11 games. So all of my Nvidia Inspector fiddling was doing nothing.

Here's a screenshot I just took. I think it looks pretty nice.

Are you guys also getting a long delay now (when it was almost instant before) after selecting fighters?

http://a.pomf.se/aavlit.webm

I actually get to see the walk-off animation now, but no delay like that. That's pretty crazy.

So guys, had a friend gifting me a key for 10$ (why not, can't possibly be THAT bad)

I'm currently downloading the game, is the 15gb patch waiting for me or i'll be good to go once i'm done?

Steam should download the latest version of the game so it probably wont need a patch after the main download.

So it seems as though the latest patch degrades performance substantially on my system. Stages and cutscene type events that ran reliably now drop to half of their intended frame rates when they previously didn't. That memory leak that makes it difficult to play for more than an hour at a time is also still there.

I really must know if High Voltage Software has any actual QA on hand or if they just outsourced it to us.

I installed this on my Alienware Alpha i7 model. I haven't had any hiccups at 1080P but why the frame lock at 30?

Still yet to install it on my main PC but doubt I would see any major improvement.

You DID go into the options right and change the PC VIDEO settings to properly configure the game?

There is an option in there about vsync. change that.

So, how do we force the game to remember resolution? It always switches to whenever I quit and start it again. Didn't have this problem before the latest patch.

Disable frame smoothing in the video options.

If someone's still looking for the mobile app skins on PS4, download SivasSouljah 's profile on ranked 1v1 ladder. He's somewhere around rank 10-30 I think.

I am still trying to figure that out. It keeps resetting to 1080p while my desktop resolution is 2160p. By the way, I've always had that problem, ever since launch.

Hey guys, I have had this game since launch but... I just read somewhere that this game does not support SLI? Anyone know a way to force SLI 970s?

Hey guys, got a few questions about the PC version of MK X and figured this would be the best place to ask. With it looking more and more likely that they may end up cancelling the last gen versions has anyone been able to get the game running on a PC with specs below the minimum requirements and if you have how well (or poorly) does it run? reason I ask is because the PC version (outside of the massive overhaul needed to get it up to the minimum specs) would be my only other option to play the game anytime soon (I won't be able to afford a PS4 or a X1 plus a few games & accessories to go with either system until some time late next year) if they do cancel the last gen versions.

also as a reference point I have a Dell Inspiron 560 with a 3 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor (E8400, I had upgraded to this processor late last year, since it was fairly cheap at $50 and was one of the few dual core processors my motherboard supported), 64 bit Windows 7, 6 GB DDR 3 RAM. and a PNY 2 GB DDR 3 GeForce GT 430 graphics card.

Can't believe this port turned out to be this fucked. Absolutely killed any hype I had for the game.
